Yup me too. This one had a hammer built in. I never use adjustable wrenches anymore though.

Yeah I've heard good things about those and @Timmah! recommends them.

Maybe the greaseable shackles are a good idea, I have those too and I don't really get any noise from the shackles. It's the main eye that makes all the noise, and I have greasable bushings/bolts in those too.

    Good fishing!?

So our entire Western Border is actually the Pacific Ocean...

I’m more of an ocean fisher than a fresh water fisher. I’ve had better luck on the ocean. I’d catch a lot of stingrays fishing on the SF Bay, sometimes I’d get lucky and get Striped Bass or Mackerel.

I take the boat and travel maybe two hours right outside the Farallon Islands off the continental plate for some good rock fishing and trawling. Get a lot of Ling Cod, Rock Cod, and Bass.

Haven’t done a lot of coast fishing, but I’ve heard of people getting lucky. I do some crabbing on some piers outside San Francisco in nearby Pacifica. Usually get some good ones.

I’ve had shit luck freshwater fishing. I’ve rarely caught anything on a lake.

I have a few of those adjustable wrenches that have come with tool kits I've gotten or been given over the years, and they just take up space...never found a good use for one. They don't grip anything well enough to actually loosen/tighten it

I have. My poly bushings used to squeak like crazy. Now with the greasable stuff I pump in Daystar lube & the squeaking goes away.

I first started using Super Lube for my UCA & leaf bushings but they will start squeaking again only after 2 weeks. And ever since I got TC coil bucket gussets, the Super Lube wouldn't do anything for the UCAs.

Never had any clunking from the rear though.

On the main eye though or the shackles? Or both?

It's just one of my main eyes (pass side) that makes 90% of the noises I get. I do have one extra set of Daystar bushings so this week I might pop that side off and put new ones in, just to see if maybe the original ones were bad or something.

I just have this fear that if I get home from work one night and take the main eye bolt off one of my leaf springs, it's going to be a nightmare to get it lined back up again and I'm going to be up until 3am having to completely take apart that side again lol.

I've replaced shackle bushings that way but those are easier because you can move the shackles around to help line them up.

Yeah but do ypurs have built in hammer heads? ;)

Yeah I don't remember the last time I used any of mine. I use Knipex plier wrenches now when needed.

Those shits are pricey. We have a nice toolstore out here that has a lot of specialty equipment.

Saw a simple Knipex pliers they wanted $40 for.

Well worth the money, I love them. I love anything Knipex. I never pay full.price though. I got them from Zoro back when they still had 30% off sales.

I'm a believer that there's no such thing as quiet leaf springs, at least not if you're driving on dirt frequently. But squeaks I can deal with, clunking I can't

Mmm those are noice. I find a good quality adjustable to be useful at work sometimes. When some machines are metric and some are standard it gets annoying carrying all those wrenches around to do a simple job.

My AllPro’s squeak when you’re going over bumps, but that’s really it.

Annoying, but I learned to live with it. Curious what’s causing it. I have the Daystar greaseable shackles and they don’t seem to help.

Although @Sperrunner said my squeaking was coming up front. My SPC’s are greaseable at the ball joint, not really sure what’s causing the squeaking though.

My leafs squeak at one of the pads on the rear pass side. I can pry them apart and put grease in there and they'll stop for a few days. But its not nearly loud enough to bother me any more compared to when I had my old add a leafs in without squeak pads.

Never had any noises from my SPCs but I have heard that the bushings can make noise when they get old. Mine are over 2 years old though and still quiet.

As for your leafs its probably dirt and grime in between the leaves causing the squeaking. Nothing you can really do about that except maybe power wash them every once in awhile. Flex one side of the rear at a time to spread the leaves out maybe. Just don't blast off the little anti friction pads lol

Seriously, I'll probably never suggest poly bushings again (end links, perhaps). Figure those rubber bushings lasted close to 16 years so yeah... poly just has too much squeak potential.

As it stands now, I have Energy Suspension bushings on the steering rack and links, Wheeler's Poly (Daystar) on the front hangars, rear frame/shackle mounts. Hell, I can't remember if Wheeler's shipped polys for the rear shock mounts or if they are rubber. The front shock mount are the rubber bushings OME had preinstalled on the nitros.

What grease are you using? I've tried all kinds of grease & none of what I tried helped except ES Formula 5 Daystar. The Forumla 5 doesn't come in tubes though. The Daystar stuff only comes in small 4oz tubes and is expensive but at least I can use it in a small grease gun. That's why I use the Daystar now. Yeah I know you can manually fill a grease gun but real poly bushing lube is tacky as hell, that's way too messy.
