Nah, the cats here don't get big enough. Channel cats max out around 25-30 lbs I think, and for noodling, those flathead cats and blue cats get over 75 lbs + and so mouth is big enough to noodle. I haven't tried it in Texas either. They don't have teeth, just thousands of tiny prickly things that are like strong rough ass sand paper. Would love to try noodling though

I’m using Lucas Oil high temp grease from Autozone in my pneumatic grease gun. I hit all the zerk fittings till I can see clean grease running out and wipe the excess.

Bit hard to do with the SPC BJ’s since they’re sealed inside a boot.

god damnit, my grandparents got roped into some kind of MLM Insurance thing. My grandma called and said they bought an Accidental Death and Dismemberment policy for me and I needed to sign some paperwork.

Red flag #1, if they are putting me as a beneficiary on the policy I don't need to sign ANYTHING.
Red flag #2, this lady who says I need to sign something couldn't describe exactly what it was over the phone and has been VERY pushy about coming to my house so I can sign the paperwork. I have asked for a copy of whatever it is and haven't gotten it yet.

I looked up the company and basically it seems like they DO sell insurance, but they pressure you into buying a policy for friends/family. Once you do they get that F/F info into the system and contact them under the guise of meeting to sign a document so they can hit you with a sales pitch and pressure them into buying a policy for someone else in the Fam etc

    :annoyed:

Noodling is horrifying I wouldn’t want to try it haha.

I know better than to stick my arm down the wrong hole.

I learned already about 15 years ago when I put greasable shackles and Aussie lift on my Nissan Hardbody. Squeaked forever until it stopped after years and I quit greasing it. Took a few years but the squeaks stopped on their own:D

My friend tried to rope me into working for Cutco. The rep texted me and immediately I asked him “Do you work for Vector Marketing” and blocked him after he said yes.

I gave her a good 30 minute lecture about what Cutco, Vector Marketing, and MLM’s are. Thank god she got out of it after she did some research.

The funny thing is Cutco does make some really nice knives. We’ve got a set at home.

The old grease comes out the bottom of the boot on the SPCs...gets messy as hell if you aren't careful about cleaning them.

    Yup! Red-n-Tacky.

Tell me that again after you grease your U-Joints and the grease slings onto your hot exhaust and burns off.

yep, this insurance place is bullshit too because they make their "employees", who are on 1099s, pay for their own $500 training required to sell insurance. I had a roommate who was into one of those energy drink MLMs and he ended up not selling any and was just drinking all of the stock he had purchased lmao

You should see mine lol. Practically half the spindle has a layer of old grease on it cause I don't clean them as much as I should.

SPC recommends greasing them every oil change if you offroad regularly so I usually do it then. The old grease has to go somewhere, the bottom of the boots isn't sealed so that's where it comes out

Their highest earning leaders at those MLM’s only make maybe 15-20k a year. Or less than a job at McDonalds.

I bought mine used, one BJ is original, one is brand new. I was told to only squirt it a few times. Gotta go do some greasing, it’s been a while.

Huh, yall have vector marketing out there too? They tried so hard to get a bunch of people my age and myself included to work for them. Seemed like a giant scam.

There’s gullible people in every corner of the country.

We’ve also got Avon, Mary Kay, Usana, etc.
