Lasers are fine, IF you've already mastered the grip, stance, and trigger pull. They won't make you hit the target, especially in a lightweight DAO pocket gun. If you're concentrating on placing the dot, rather than the front sight, aren't you learning a bad habit?
That being said, the LCP is a decent , convenient little all-day pistol. I've found that I hit better with a Kel Tec or a Kahr 9mm, but that's just me.

It is brand new. Would 280 be fair for just the gun?

I'd get it without the laser, and that's the gun I'm eyeing as my next purchase.

    Re CT Laser:

I have 4 handguns that I use for CCW (not at the same time ;)). They all have the CT Laser.

I have never had a problem out of any of them.

Some guys think having a laser on a gun is somehow - cheating. If I am ever unlucky enough to have to use my guns to save my life - you bet I'll cheat to win. I want to be the one going home after the smoke clears.

I just happen to have the gun sitting on my desk right now and snapped these pics. The holster hides the gun pretty good as the flat leather piece is between the gun and pocket. To draw the gun I slip my hand between the gun and back leather piece and grab the gun. I carry the gun in my left back pocket. In case you're wondering, I'm a lefty (so you righties turn the pic around in your brain).

    thats an awesome holster....

i dont think the laser is cheating...i just dont want something like that that i may end up trying to rely on...i dont ever plan on shooting the LCP from more than about 5-7 yards...if i cant point shoot it then i need to find something else

Why is that? Is it because Bill Ruger screwed us gun owners with the high cap mag ban? Or do you just not like Rugers?

    Pretty much stock
I love my LCP, i carry it 100% off duty. No laser for me though, hard to justify when its over half the price of the gun.

I had one once...without the laser. Thing shoots just fine without it out to 7-9 yards. Another thing to think about is the caliber, mine was .380 auto, I'm assuming your's is also. There was a time last year where almost every store was out of .380 auto, including Cabela's. Look around for for some stuff before buying that, and also think about where you're gonna carry it concealed. I have a friend who has a S&W M&P-9 compact. He carries it with an inside the pants holster and you can't tell its there...he's also pretty damn fast at drawing it too. Just a few things to think about. Kahr I believe makes some slim concealed carry guns.
