My stock 2005 muffler just started to blow out at the seam. I prefer to keep the toyota system one piece like the original. This to me seems like the easiest and it would sound like it did originaaly but are there any opinions on this? Thanks for the suggestions.

I can't say it will sound exactly the same because my ear slowly adjusted to the sound of my leaky muffler before i replaced it, but..
Ive been happy with the magna flow performance muffler i put on my truck. i think its a 24" can. Im not one for loud exhaust since I'm on the road a lot. but its quiet enough yet gets Throaty when i stomp on it. Really i just explained to the shop i wanted a "quiet" muffler that would perform well.

Also i do have long tube headers on the truck so that could make it a lil louder

Look in the buy sell threads here, OfferUp, letgo and Craigslist. I bet you can find as stock one for cheap.

Where are you located? I have an OEM cat-back system for 2005 - 2010 access cab / DCSB that was removed from my truck with approx. 350 miles. It has been stored in my garage since the TRD exhaust was installed here in Rhode Island. Unbelievably cheap if you may be reasonably near New England. Not interested in shipping - too expensive.

Thanks for the offer John but western NY is a bit far to drive for it.

What have others installed that may be pieced together but keep the sound of stock? This should be easier to get? What are my options like walker or bosal?

I did a Bosal one and it's close enough to stock. Sounds like a truck though, it gets kinda throaty. Not quite as quiet as the OEM muffler was. You have to cut the stock pipe and weld it to that.
