The only reason Cadillac and Buick still exists is because of Drug Dealers, and Old People.

Buick actually has a massive market share in China which is very fascinating. Buick is to China as Rolls Royce/Bentley is to America.

Correct. It’s built on the Nissan Navara Platform (Nissan Frontier in the US)

It’s like how the Ford Ranger is the Mazda B3000.

I’d totally own an 80’s Land Yacht, so a DeVille, El Dorado, etc. They’re just so ridiculous.

See, now Buick has no business making a car like that. It looks like a glorified Audi.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Cadillac and Buick have lost their way. They’re trying to be fast and sporty when that was never their business model.

The C8 Vette is a perfect example of your ideology.

But people want sporty euro/jap cars. GM has to stay relevant, which is how you get stuff like that.

When I think of Corvette I think of fast and sporty, I think of Cadillac I think of, well, Cadillac. It’s become so ubiquitous with smooth, gentle, pillowy.

I get why GM did what they did, but it doesn’t seem to be working for them with how unpopular they have become.

    Everything but the driveshaft. B03A - 410
It came from the 1st gen MDX platform. It would take off from a stop as a 4wd then cut back to FWD at some speed like 15 mph. Honda repurposes their platforms so many ways that it would be impossible for them to build a real truck. Most of all Honda didn't want their customers wandering into a Toyota of Nissan showroom.

All luxury brands offer something fast and visceral too. The 400hp escalade was nice, except for the AWD t-case that couldn't coordinate itself

Honda makes nothing that resembles a traditional truck. They don't make anything that rides on a frame, nothing is real wheel drive which is where you want your weight if you have a load. So you know that 'truck' really wasn't designed to be used as a truck. It's just another unibody car based SUV, kinda like a Jeep Cherokee. :crapstorm: I kid I kid, well kinda. But I did have a Jeep Cherokee long long time ago

Honda never had a popular pickup truck did they? Nissan has the Frontier and Hardbody, Toyota had the Pickup, Tacoma, T100, Tundra, etc etc etc.

The Cherokee was a unibody? Thought the Grand Cherokee was the unibody and the XJ was body on frame.

And that’s totally fine, but damn I wish they made old comfy luxury cars like they did 30 years ago.

Nope, Cherokee was unibody and on the Comanche they made a frame that bolted to the front unibody, that's why it could tow a lot too

Nah unibody. But they have these fake frame rails under it.

I still have those cool promotional posters from AMC with the Comanche, CJ5, and Wagoneer I have to have framed.

They must be super rare because the only pictures I ever found of my posters were of... my posters. Seriously. It was on some random website and I could tell they were mine from the damage on the shipping tube and stains on the paper.
