Not especially. You have Daniels on the river right downtown, it's overpriced and underwhelming but decent enough. I'm a regular at Country Spirit Tavern which is right next to the exit on route 202. They have fairly good food and pour my drinks pretty heavy. For pizza there is Sonnys downtown and closer to Pats Peak on route 114 is the gas station called All In One. They make pretty good pizza. Not much in town really. In Weare there is Generals Tavern which I like. There is a Chinese place downtown that I have never been to. I don't usually eat Chinese, I always want sushi if I'm craving that kind of thing so I go to Concord.

If you get to Hillsborough try Taco Beyondo. Little hole in the wall, dumb name, fantastic tacos. I know the owner and his wife, they are awesome people and he is a great cook. Also in Hillsborough is the High Tide which may have the best whole belly fried clams I have ever had.

Morning all. Hope you all survived our weekend in the oven.
We went and visited friends in NH on Saturday, just sat around under their sprinkler and drank beer
The downside was that we came home to an 89 degree house, because even though I'd turned the AC on to 'eco-low' to get ahead of the heat, the GF had shut if off before we left without my knowing, because it 'didn't make sense to run it while we're not home'
So we slept in the basement

This time of year my AC stays on even if I am gone for a week.

We don't normally run it at all; usually the fans are enough. But when it's almost 100 degrees...not so much. Closing the house up and drawing the curtains during the day can only do so much.

That's awesome. I've been looking for good tacos / burritos. My Mrs kept asking me why I hate concord so much. We went out to breakfast yesterday. We sat next to a family where a girl was ranting about the economy for about an hour and how to fix it.

She was about to enter her last year of college and was "looking forward to her first adult job"

I'd like to stay more in the woods haha

@Blais03 has lots of experience with this even in the dark!
But I'm not gonna lie it's a pain, if everything isn't rusted together maybe little more than an hour.

Yeah Concord can be a little rough. I only go there if I have to. There are good tacos /burritos there at Dos Amigos, but they will likely be sold to you by a patchouli wearing girl with dreadlocks and a Bernie '16 sticker on her apartment door. My buddy in Hillsborough is the dead opposite of that genre.

The bearing itself you definitely need a press for. If you buy one of those hub assemblies, it's only a little more than a handful of bolts to remove once you have the wheel off, two on the caliper, one on the brake hard line where it mounts to the spindle, the CV Nut (35MM, tighten back to 173 lb/ft), and four that hold the hub assembly to the spindle. A three-jaw puller can be helpful if the CV shaft hasn't been removed from the hub recently, to hold everything in place while you tighten the axle nut, put it in 4wd with the other three tires on the ground. Start to finish I did it in an hour and a half or so, from gathering all the tools, removing the wheel, to all tools cleaned and put away, while not really rushing through anything.

Trip to Acadia complete. I think the extreme heat warnings kept the crowds down slightly.
They did keep the old 4Runner working hard in the mountains as well as the 500 mile drive.
Climbed Cadillac mountain, explored some of the fire roads on the west side of the island, Jordan pond, bar harbor island land bridge.
There is a sand bar that connects downtown bar harbor to bar harbor island. There is a sign saying no parking on the bar so we walked it at low tide last night.
I couldn’t find any regulations or postings so early this morning so we drove out on the bar this morning

No trip to Maine is complete without stopping at the ultimate tourist trap; the Kittery trading post

    @SR-71A

I “snuck” out to the sand bar at 7:30 this morning when there was no one was out.
The 4Runner is going to rust in half now

I spent Sunday in the garage from 6:30 AM until 5:30 PM. It wasn't really bad until about 4:30 when I started sweating everywhere. Our bedroom AC unit is easily 10+ years old as my buddy gave it to me and it came from his house. It was there when he moved in. It simply couldn't keep up. I gave it 3 hours to run prior to crashing and I don't think it was any cooler than 82-84 in that room. I was sweating sitting in bed. The small human's room was a solid 10-12 degrees cooler. I don't know if I just have too small a unit for our room or if I need to suck it up and buy a new unit.

The frustrating thing is my house is forced hot air, but the ducting is done so poorly and incorrectly I don't think I'm adding AC without boxing a corner of a room to run ducts or cutting open walls and floors. I'm not convinced I'll stay in the house long enough to warrant it.
