    Had mine done at Southern Offroad Specialists in georgia, Nitro gear recommended them. i believe they did a great job. break in is finally over and i have no issues. changed the oil in the diff and had very minimal break in metal flakes. i love the 5.29's i finally got on it this morning hit about 5.5k rpm 2-4th gear and it was hauling ass! love it.

    most of the time i hit 6th fairly quick ~50mpg and it will hold 6th very well uphill and if i need to slow down to say about 40 then start up again i can still maintain 6th and accelerate nicely.

    most of the time i do skip 5th gear.

    Reverse is still a nightmare up hill :frusty: lol.

    I've been trying to decide whether I want to get 5.29s or 4.88s. My truck isn't lifted and have stock tires. I do have a little extra weight because of my diamondback cover and steps. I have the ovtune and since have been driving faster on the highway (found myself going 85-90). My concern is what do the rpms run at at those speeds.

    A bed cover and steps are hardly considered to be “extra weight”. I’m pushing over 800lbs just in armor haha.

    This is true I am more concerned about how high the rpms will be. I just don't want to be doing 90mph and the rpms being above 3k.

    Picked up my truck from ECGS!
    Now obviously I can’t give a good opinion yet because I’ve only driven it for ~25 min and didn’t go over 45mph, but.....
    I think I’m going to be able to pop some sweet wheelies in this bish.

    Can’t wait to get the break in period done. Gotta see how it works for every day driving, off roading, and towing.
    Also, not that I give a shit, but I’ll report on MPGs too.
