    the bolt gun is 16.5 because it is a rifle.
    the AR is 8.5 because I bought the "pistol" lower.
    both shoot good... the bolt rifle shoots better.

    The bolt gun was built for my youngest son.
    He is very small and I didn't want him to be afraid of shooting, and thus miss out on all the stuff his brothers got to do.
    So I built it for him, and he BY FAR is the one that likes to go with me the most.
    The little sucker even shot a trophy of a life time last year.
    My dad is 75, hunted Texas all his life, and has never even seen a badger before.

    NFA is worse than truck and gun parts combined! After my first can, which was a 7.62 I used for 223-308... I had 6 more within a 1.5 year period. I can now swap cans between all my pistols and rifles with the exception of my shotguns.

    Besides a simple Google search.....that can produce irrelevant or hard to decipher results.....

    I want it just for funsies, but i can only shoot at public ranges, so I haven't had the need, yet. I've shot a bunch of suppressed stuff, and wish it want regulated. Would be a lot quieter at ranges if they did deregulate them.

    It's difficult with many gray areas, but keep to the definitions of types of firearms and you're good.

    Should come up as an image search, but this will show you how convoluted the differences are. Best to take one type of NFA at a time, to prevent confusion.

    He’s a good dude, I called and left a message. He called me back that day while he was at home with his kid on his lap. Walked me through the process and after giving him some information about myself and my goals for the trust he had all he needed. Had my trust in hand the very next day. Never had an issue with approvals and if you need it amended for any reason he’ll do it for a couple boxes of 308 ammo. It’ll cost more upfront to have a real lawyer like Sean draft a trust but when having 10s of thousands of dollars invested in these items it’s great peace of mind that your shit is squared away.
