I cant wait to try this. I have had the most gawd awful noise coming from my bed that has been nagging the crap out of me. I have chased every freaking other option. I KNOW it is my bed as I can grab the corner up by my cab and give it a good heave ho and hear the noise I am chasing. Had to order some dang torx bits though. Cant find anything bigger than T40 in an actual walk in store.

Sounds like that very well might fix your problem! I first noticed mine after adding a camper shell i heard it on dirt roads

Well I put a shell on my truck after the first 2000 miles. I did go on a wheeling trip a few weeks ago and there was no crowd and I had a new GoPro so I played around a lot flexing on stuff and filming it. That is when it started. I know this because the weekend before I replaced all the UCA bushings and noted to the guy that helped me that I did not hear a single noise the whole 20 mile ride home. That lasted one week. Now I can barely stand to drive it just for this noise. I have added a bunch of fun new tinkerings to the truck in the last few weeks but I cant even enjoy them for this stupid noise.

Hope this fixes it! I had to go to a auto parts store to find a t55. Lowes or home depot should have them too..

Please report back if this solves your problem sir:fingerscrossed:

    I definitely will.

Lowes and Home Depot were no help. T40 was the max.

My 18 had one of the main bed bolts loose. I went to harbor freight and found the right torx head. Tightened it down and all was good.

Put some D rings in the bed bolts while you’re at it.

Problem is I have a platform I made that eliminates the need for those. However, said platform may hide all my bolts.

It's a common problem, put a polyurethane or similar washer in between the bed and frame. That's the long term solution. If you just retorque then it wears again and will need retorqued till there is nothing left.

Rought terrain usually speeds it up from what other forums have said:bikewhoops:

Got my Torx set, tightened the extremely loose passenger front bolt, noise GONE! :bananadance:

I have had a hard time even enjoying driving the truck the last couple of weeks. Have added 5.29s and OVTune and the only thing I that was on my mind during all of that was the popping I heard every time I went from a stop to a start. Holy shit am I glad to have that fixed. I know it will come back until I do something more permanent, but I know exactly what it is now and I can deal with the rest in my own time. Cheers to all who offered ideas.

Didn’t even know this was a thing. Spent days trying to track down a clunk and even tightened all my bed bolts once just to be safe.
Got a second person to assist with shaking the truck around and found where the bed was lifting up. Ended up backing out the bed bolt and re torquing it. Seems to have taken care of the noise now.
