I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
Completely understandable I'm going to start working on the first box the beginning of September.
I will Keep you posted on the progress.

I know Justin works for a shop and does professional work I worked for a shop as well when I was younger and and know the process of fabricating Sub boxes. The first box built is custom all others after that are practically an assembly line.

Just to show you that i can do custom work here is a picture of a box I just built for a friend of mine. Sorry for the cell phone pic
The only thing i didn't like about this box was the wrinkles in the Vinyl right at the top. The extreme angle stretched it to much. I was going to 86 the Vinyl and paint it but me buddy loved it so I left it.

Yep...here is the pics of the close up:

I made sure Justin knew what had to be fixed...he is going to adjust it. I was the guinea pig so w/e I don't mind...we (my local car audio shop not Justin) built new brackets to push the arm rest fwd...I am not gonna lie...the 12W3 is a bit huge...the magnet wasn't going to fit but we grinded down the inside of the box and it fit...the 12W1 fit just fine...his location of the mounting screw for the box needed to be fixed as well...all and all...the box surprised me in sound...I was afraid I didn't have enough airspace for the W3 but it sounded great...but I went ahead an added some poly-fill to make it seem like the box is bigger.

I want just a jl 10" because the 12 just looks to big. I think a 10" will sound better too.

Honestly I would go for the MTX TR7500 44 10" unless your going for the JL W7 10" The MTX 7500 hits way harder then the lower end JL's and it's cheaper.

that's why subs with non ferrite magnets like this are cool  shit is shallow. [IMG]

got it a really long time ago, but i like it. other than needing to move the console, the box looks great.

X2 It's the issue of a 12" sub in that little amount of space. If the sub was set at more of an angle i don't think you would have to move the console.

It's going to be tough but I'm going to down fire the 12" as well it just wont be able to accommodate competition Sub's like the JL W7 & MTX 9500.

really loud for a single sealed 12. the best way to describe it without actually hearing it is, at it's maximum volume without distortion, you could not keep it at that volume for longer than a song or two because it's just too fuckin loud. but that was also in my old hatchback. i haven't put it in the taco yet.

you may have it set on 8 ohms instead of 2. or your amp may not be large enough, or your gain, low pass, or bass settings may not be correct. you can't just plug a sub in and expect it to work like it should. it needs at least 350w rms. i've had it for like 5 or 6 years and love it.
