If any of you happen to be able to repair that, please let me know! It's the rear shackle mounts and rear of the frame.

I do most of the designing and cutting. My buddy does all the welding on our projects. But he doesn't like to mess with frame stuff (he's gunna have to get over that with my Chevy 63s this winter tho).

But you may want to post up in the Nor Cal thread and ask.

After a long hunt for a white regular cab 5 speed 4X4 Toyota pickup, I knew I wanted to do a few simple mods like a mild lift and some decent all-terrain tires maybe 1 size bigger than stock. I never thought it would snowball into regearing, diff locks and a growing armor collection. Now I'm shopping for a rear bumper and lusting for a Marlin Crawler tacobox.

    Our first day in 2015
    IMG_0151.jpg IMG_0153.jpg

I've even had 2 white regular cabs at the same time. Such is my sickness for regular cabs.
    IMG_0793.jpg

Just finished regearing to 4:88s with lockers and stepping up to 255/85r16's.

I need to win the lottery, even a small one, so that I can pay someone big bucks to mod my truck for me. So many things I'd like to do, just to make it more off road capable. But alas, surviving on Gubment disability doesn't leave much at the end of the month for extras. So many nice 1st gen Tacos on this website, all you need is MONEY!!!

They are really small but that's one of the reasons I love them. It doesn't look like it, but there's decent storage under and behind the seat even with it all the way back. My wife doesn't do camping, dirt roads or roughing it, so a regular cab is perfect for myself and 1 dog. If we're going somewhere together and taking all 3 of our dogs, we have a bigger vehicle.

Going to have to get off my lame old ass, and go winter camping this year. Even if I wake up all stiff and sore, I can always sit by a warm fire for an hour or two. Need to find me a magic Tin Man Oil Can. I really like these tent platforms I see on these Tacoma's here. Really brilliant idea, keep you up off the ground so the critters don't get you. especially if your camping in BEAR country. Imagine waking up, with a black bear in your groud tent, staring at you, like your a late night snack.

haha yeah, I like the roof top tents for a few reasons, being off the ground is a big one. Not just animals but your less likely to be bothered by crawling insects which is a big one for my wife. Also if you're camping where there's bad weather, being off the wet/muddy/snowy/cold ground is a big plus.

Once when I was young and stupid. I went camping in the Western Rockies one spring. Like a moroon, I left my .357 back at the ranch for some stupid reason. still had about 2 feet of snow on the ground, and I had to put one summer sleeping bag inside another one. Only had a cheap ass pup tent, just big enough to crawl inside. Wind was blowing like crazy that night, and it got down in the single digits. I remember laying there with a K-Bar in one hand, and a Eastwing 16" camping axe in the other. Never saw another person for 3 days, but it was so peaceful and quiet. Never went camping again without some kind of firearm.
