Just ordered a long bed 10" max modular with some extra goodies for my DCSB. I can't wait to throw it on and get outside with it!

Which light did you go with for this? I was debating on doing something like this because our tent will be blocking the 3rd brake light. Not a huge deal obviously, but would be a nice addition. May just mount an LED light there to use for cooking/etc on the tailgate.

I used this light off of Amazon
Partsam Universal LED Strip for... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0140XMI1Q?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I did not wire the blinkers into it. I wish I could remember what wires I used. I believe I tried using the trailer brake light wiring but that didn’t work so I ended up just using the wires off of the tail lights.

So i have a couple of questions about this rack. I am looking at getting the 14" one and saw that the posted weight tolerances are 300lbs dynamic and 600 static. I am worried that this is not strong enough. Once i mount a tent which is around say 200lbs then have my wife and my self sleeping in said tent. Another 350 for that and we are already up to 550 static. The tent i am getting is a 3 person so if my son comes along or we try and mount any other gear which is part of the whole reason of getting a rack, i am over the 600 lbs. So I am thinking this rack will not be strong enough for my uses. Am i thinking through this correctly or is there an oversight i am making?

So i started looking at your steel bed rack system. 18" high specifically and i have a couple questions. It does not say it on the page but does the long bed version fit on the short bed. It says it does for the tacoma specific racks but not the HD steel one with the 700 lb max. Also if i install the sliding shelf system, does that added weight take away from the max of what the bed rack can hold? It looks like it mounts and is supported by the base of the rack. My last question is on the 18", is the top of the rack even with the top of the cab? Higher or lower?

@KB Voodoo, do you see any issues by doing this? I have the same beds stiffeners as @AWD_Jeff and also want to run your longer rack on a short bed.

My concern is stacking the tonneau bracket over the bed stiffener will harm the strength/integrity of the entire setup.

Looking to upgrade to a roofnest for my kbvoodoo rack. Has anyone had any luck mounting them without having to put another cross bar rack on top?

Anyone have pics of a DCLB with a DCSB sized bed rack? interested in how that would look.

About a foot short, not sure why anybody else would likely run that setup.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I’d say so.

Grab your tape measure and lay out 46" on your bed, you'll see what I mean.

I don’t like the looks of the short bed rack on the short bed. Now the long bed rack on the short bed looks good
