I started leaking fluid from my right side boot a few weeks ago. I had this problem several years ago. I used a power steering stop leak from Lucus and the problem resolved. Now my steering is hard and loose depends on the day. Any recommended replacement racks. I've seen prices from 75.00-550.00. I have not replaced this part of my 2003 and the rack is original.

You'll definitely want to go oem on this part unless you don't mind changing it out yearly or bi-yearly with the 'lifetime warranty' the aftermarket gives you on the cheap junk parts

And since you've added that thickener stop leak stuff, while rack is off make sure to flush the lines and reservoir, etc out

OEM.. I used camelback Toyota for the part.

Not a bad job if you decide to do it yourself
