MLB All-Star Home Run Derby tonight.

 

For the first time in nearly a decade... I'm fired up for the summer stretch.

I'm a Ray's fan and were usually out of it by mid May. We might actually do some serious damage this year.

 

What the absolute fuck with the Homerun Derby?!?!?!

 

Why does it seem like there a significant amount more homeruns this year over previous years..

 

It doesn't seem like it to me, but then again I am a Cardinals fan.

Apparently,
MLB bought the Rawlings factory that makes them. Ostensibly to have more consistent quality control but they admitted that the seams are lower and the leather is smoother this season. Hitters are happier.

EE earned it tonight, 1 more HR to continue his 30 per year streak

 

I'll take even .500 after the excruciating start to the season and it took 8 of 9 wins in 8 consecutive days to get to even. Tyler Beede was amazing dueling Jacob Degrom.
