    You could always put it in a furnace and get the whole piece up to about 1200°,then bend it true.... Like sword blacksmiths. Then quench it and stress relieve it in an oil bath around 400° for roughly 3 hours. Then it'd be super strong and straight! :D

    I was planning to let the turbo do its work, lol. I've been known to get my old one red orange pretty often about 1500 to 1700 F. I messed up not doing the heat sink on this guy. Learned the hard way here. Sch 40 is a whole lotta heat to weld single pass.

    I'm no blacksmith, but knew the numbers were somewhere around there.

    Need to capture some GoPro footage of the header reaching glowing temps.

    That would be cool. I’ll keep that in mind. I know out in the dirt bouncing off the rev limiter is when it does it.

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
    Ahh, for the engine mount, I just used the Toyota MLS gasket. Mine wasn't perfect but it sealed up. The T4 flange was where I used the stove oven gasket maker. That flange was about as flat as the north Atlantic in the winter. Ok, maybe not that bad but metal crush gasket provided was not going to seal shit.

    The surface job looks rough. I would find a place that does engine deck work and get it machined there if you continue to have leaks.

    It's probably a 40 grit belt. Maybe 80. I might sand it lightly on a flat table. Pic looks rougher than what it is. Haven't ran it yet. New 3" downpipe and few intake parts and I'll be ready. So far I've been lucky t3 flanges seal up well for me with the small bolt pattern.

    That Porter Cable, Grizzly, or whomever 6" wide belt sander. The Ryobi that I have was a need now purchase. I need an overal wider and longer belt sanding surface, with more current to prevent it from stalling out.

    @OVTune doing big things. Like where he’s going with his developments. Just saw this deep oil pan posted in his website. I wonder if there’s a sump issue like the 1gr with the shallow pans.

    I have a small wood corded sander. I was too lazy to clean it and went to the guys with the big toys. Kinda tapped out on tools to fit in the garage right now.

    There is an oiling issue related with the heads not being able to drain quickly enough on incline. Not sure about the pan. Have heard that the lower oil pan is shallow. Doesn't mean the upper is though.

    Snag some pictures of it, when you get the chance please?

    Truck fab takes up way too much room. Way underestimate how much room you need. The trick I'm trying to do is put it all on wheels so you can roll it out and pack it tight.

    I finally got most the bugs out of my vaccum system. Since installing the turbo some things were definitely wrong. I was amazed to see the amount of gremlins a wrongly routed vaccum system can cause. I'm talking the steering, braking, front diff engagement and operation, CV axle trouble, oil blow by, poor ebc operation, acceleration, holding boost pressure, probably more I'm forgetting. Since re-routing it drives like OEM again. But with a turbo. Even the turbo is working smoother. Absolutely mind blowing what that vaccum system does. Putting in a new charcoal canister for emissions mine had oil in it. Over the last week I added a GPS system, ladder rack, running boards, bumper stinger, redid the electrical with distribution blocks, reconfigured the vaccum system, and put in a new center console. Hate to say this but I almost enjoy it more now than my CTS-V. Getting compliments and stares everywhere I go. Always cool when someone appreciates your hard work.

    Vacuum systems on turbo engines can be a nightmare. Once you wrap your head around it, it becomes rather simple.

    There any Lsx owners in here? I have an
    Isky triple 12 cam with springs I’d like to put to a good home.

    Cam specs 212.212, .561/.561,110 LSA

    It was in my brother turbo Silverado but he decided to go with a more aggressive cam. Asking $350 shipped.
