Sounds like a lot of work. Would be easier if the bumper was designed to have clearance from Demello since all 3 GX’s have had this issue. I am going to take a grinder to the spot. Already wore through the powder coat on the bumper and the paint on my hood. Good thing this isn’t a mall crawler. It flexed pretty good into the hood. Hard to tell from this picture since it’s the other side that is touching.

Yep, same exact thing. Say bye to the paint on your hood and bumper as soon as you flex.

Was your bumper spray painted or powder coated?

Yeah that’s why I’m not worried about grinding it down. Don’t want to deal with that. Which I know it’s probably gonna rub off anyways

Hey guys, give us a call and we can help with this area of contact. That is a tight spot and something we will have to address. When we made the first version of it and test fit it on the GX we must have gotten one with body mounts that weren't as worn because the gap on the one we test fitted and the fixture was made off had more gap in it. There are a couple ways going forward we can fix this and a quick fix to fit the rubbing on the ones in stalled. Of course if anyone is local (even if we didn't install) we will be happy to make some adjustments to it so it doesn't rub.

Installed a Rago GX470 CB antenna mount. I am super impressed with the quality. Now I need to install the Uniden pro510xl cb radio. Any ideas where to mount it?

Really disappointed in their lack of installation instructions and installation support that they pride themselves in. I emailed them asking if they had instructions and was told no they didn’t.

I like that mount. Is it only for the drivers side or do they make a pass side too?

I am very happy with it and the quality is top notch. Glad I spent the extra money on it over a generic mount. I ended up following the install instructions on their website for a 2010-newer 4Runner and it was very easy to install. Don’t think they make one for passenger side but you can ask them.

Yeah I’d rather have pass. It’s whwre it’s mounted now and don’t want to re run my cable. But now I think about it I think I might have ran it up the drivers side anyways

Can’t please everyone :p Shouldn’t be hard to move your wiring to the drivers side. But you should keep it on the passenger side so we don’t have the exact same build :fistbump:

@wrmathis any pictures of how you mounted your CB radio and how you ran your wiring to the antenna?
