I vote bilstein, but thats cause I'm a die hard bilstein fan and like function over form. I would suggest King before Icon though.

I'm trying my best to learn everything I can about shocks, coils, and preload. If I buy those 5 inch lift shocks and put them on the Toytec 1.6" coils does that work?

    OME and worth every penny.
I have 4 2nd Gen steel wheels I'm trying to give away.

Has stock bridgestones that hold air but are many many years old. Not good for street. Maybe if trying to chase down a vibe.

    Good for a roller Hilux/Taco/Cheby

    edit: Oh, in Port Arthur.

Absolutely, that shock just has a longer lower portion and the cup that supports the spring sits higher up on the shock body. You could essentially use any lift spring if you wanted to with it. I'd suggest OME 886 springs to support the weight of that front bumper. But the toytecs may work just fine; I'm not sure of their weight capacity.

They're rated at 620 lbs and the 886's are 660. I went with the Toytecs because I do like the rake I have versus level. Hopefully my guestimation works out. It does in my head at least.

That'll work then. Sounds like you've got the math down.

Stock ones are good.. I get the ceramic ones from AutoZone...and exchange them when they start squealing.

Don't know. Stock ones went out at 80k-ish. I replaced them with the ceramic ones. I'm at 125k-ish

I wasn't going to change the rotors out. That's an expensive upgrade. Lol

Ebc isnt too terrible on price, think I went 90k with stock pads and rotor so figured it was time for both. Both still had life left when I changed them.
