I just read an article on the 2020 Tacoma. It takes all kinds of people to fill the world... "finally a power seat...", "the traction control system works really good but it's just too noisy to use", "the 4 on the dash is confusing..." (read the owners manual dipshit), "the TRD Pro keeps last year's grille but now has LED headlights and sequential turn signals...", (go with) "the new Ford Ranger instead...".
    Shit like that amuses me.

If you really want to be entertained (or depressed) spend some time reading the daily threads on the 3rd gen forum

Commenting in them though is like navigating a mine field, proceed with caution

The way time flies you'll be there in no time. The more you sweat it the longer it seems to take to get the truck to where you want it.

Yeah there really is. Back before TW was around, Yotatech was really popular and I was pretty active there with my '99 Prerunner. But it's a ghost town now, still some good info though especially for our trucks. Just have to deal with the millions of pop ups and links everywhere

You and me both my friend. I'm not a very good critic. I just kind of accept stuff the way it is. Which is great for always staying the same but those folks that criticize that stuff about the Tacoma are the type that drive improvements and stuff, though I may not like the 'improvements'. My big gripe is I don't want those dumb features and improvements. Who has a truck to market towards my demograph? Nobody and that means I have to pay much more for things I don't want or need. Not very fair? Thats why my vehicles are 20+ yrs old. There was a line drawn between technology and the driving experience, and that line was crossed for the bad right around the early 2000s

Mud is the only other forum I've been a member of.... Wait and a firewood and wood burning stove forum:anonymous: I forgot about that. I love firewood and wood burning though :D I had 3 winters worth of heating without furnace of firewood stacked and seasoned and ready to burn. And just kept filling what I used up over the winter with free firewood from the spring when the trees would die or fall or need to be taken down. Was a sweet cycle:cool:

Husky All Weather floor mats FTW :D

Weather Techs are nice too, just a lot more expensive

Did they have the spiky pegs underneath to hold them in place? Mine have little cleats on them and they stay firmly embedded into the carpeting

Anybody heard of floormats for the Pre 2001 models? I was bummed when I couldn't get weather techs or similar

Edit: nvm I'm seeing the posts

I scored some from warehouse deals for $50-60 because they were "deformed"...of course they popped right into place once against the floorboards :)

Oooh good idea, I'll have to keep an eye on that. I'm not in the habit of checking the warehouse deals on Amazon

You know I just remembered I did notch mine with my knife so that I can put that little factory hook through them on the driver's side, so maybe that's what's helping lol

Holy crap I didn't even notice that...when I bought them last December they were $70 I think. Definitely nowhere near 100

I never owned Weathertechs so I can't say for certain but the cheaper price of the Huskys was what sold me on them, but looks like they've jumped up in price now too
