Pull off the roost idler pulley. It's too much wrap around the pulley which is causing you to have to replace your belt every 1000 miles. There is such a thing as too much traction sometimes. Lol.

From an engineering standpoint, you'd definitely want Cal Tracs over those. due to the fact that those do not have a hinge, they will bind the suspension as it tries to articulate.

 

Is this too little “wrap”?

 

Cal tracs arent an option. Understood though.

Oh I don't deny that my configuration wears belts like they're going out of style. When I do have the belt traction though, it sure is fun.

 

What for? No need for them on your truck. Especially with you getting a new axle. I forget, are they welding on your spring perches or leaving them loose? My vote is leave them loose so you can set your own pinion angle and eliminate all driveline vibes

 

Just having fun looking at stuff mostly. That would have been a great idea for the spring perches but I fear it may be too late, Maybe ill shoot him a message. I took all my drive line angles and he compared them to similar trucks to set the pinion angle. I trust him enough

I was also thinking the same thing of what size belt I should get. So looks like I’m getting a 69.5”

I thought we've established already that just because something feels good at the moment doesn't mean it is good after the moment. We better keep you away from strippers and hookers since you like momentary gratification so much. These trucks are supposed to be reliable not breaking every 1000 miles, we own Toyotas not Chevys. Unless you are @Sacrifice.
