If you're camping at a KOA campground just order a pizza from Pizza hut , Domino's , little caesar's and have it delivered !!!! :notsure:

Well at least I'm not wasting my time toting crap all over the place to cook blueberry crepes and in the woods.

What little camping magic there is at a KOA campground would immediately be obliterated by a pizza delivery guy coming in

You would not believe how hard it was to find campgrounds that allow tents these days. Everything I looked into was for RV's.

it's probably different out there than it is out west, but sometimes even here it can be hard to find dispersed camping depending on what park/forest you're in.

The main thing out here right now is finding camping that allows campfires, with how easily this state goes up in flames. Not that I disagree it with the need to be strict about it, but it sucks for those of us that are responsible with it.

Quite a few years ago our 4x4 club was camped near the Slash X cafe south of Barstow Ca on hwy 247 . We called the Dominos in Barstow and they agreed to deliver pizza to our Campsite

Oh I found places everywhere I wanna go, but it would be much easier if I was in an RV lol. Im mainly seeing about 6 cities in the South east that Ive always wanted to go to, and some are no where near state parks or camping friendly areas. But Im cheap and cant afford a hotel every night, so tent camping it is.

You can forget dispersed camping in the southeast. Its too developed here, so "overlanding" is sort of a joke to me. Even fire roads are basically non existent, and the few I do know of are very short. If you wanna camp/wheel at the same time, its camping at the 4 wheeling parks, not finding that secluded spot that no one knows about like it is out west.

I can understand that. Shit, I’ve camped in the back of my 4R at rest areas before.

Blue ridge MT’s have some areas. I know I’ve been in and around them and found some mice dispersed spots.

This is true, but the ones I know of in NC (hurricane creek mainly) are starting to be not so friendly to people using them.

One of my favorites is grilled chicken or steak kebabs. You can prep at home, cut and freeze all the fixings (peppers, onions, mushrooms, marinated meats) and then at the grill throw them on a stick or skewer and you’re good to go. Eating like a king while on the move.

I know somebody that sets up a tent in walmart parking lots when doing his motorcycle trips. I have some money set aside for this trip, and Id rather have the piece of mind that a campground can provide, especially since Im travelling alone.

Really just some lunchmeat in a cooler and some bread works. Hit local farm stands too. For a great breakfast burrito, take frozen hashbrowns, brown and serve sausage links, and a carton of egg beaters. Brown sausage, add hashbrowns, thrown in fresh veggies from farm stands, then add egg beaters last few minutes. Stir, add cheese .plop foil over top for a minute or so melt cheese. Add tortillas or dump on plate, slather with hot sauce and enjoy. Damn, this might be dinner now. Also one pot only to wash. Oh, find local beers and have one . You owe it to yourself..

Another easy one pot... take a can of potatoes drain water, add to pan. Brown a bit. Add cut up kielbasa, brown a bit. Then add a can of whole kernel sweet corn water drained. Brown a bit. Serve with bread and butter and ice cold local beer.

I’m a fresh meal kinda guy, but when I can’t cook something or don’t have time I just take a few MRE’s with me. A fellow member on here sent me an entire crate of them.

When we’re talking food you can’t go wrong with BBQ. I like to marinate Beef Short Rib in soy sauce, green onions, sesame oil, and vinegar to make Korean BBQ. Throw em in zip lock bags, cook, and serve over rice.

When I went camping at Pismo I brought a big ol’ rack of ribs from Costco. @eon_blue can tell you how good they were.

I have a Coleman portable propane grill, a lot easier to cook on than Charcoal. Just don’t be tempted to cook Bacon directly on it like a certain someone did. *cough* @Sperrunner *cough* I’m still finding bacon grease in it after washing the entire thing.
