Tons of prep left before we headed out to Utah.

Finally got around to getting the reroute done. Thanks to Exhaust Works in Belmont, CA.

He tossed me a roll of Nomex to keep things cool and wrapped it up back home. Looking clean!

Forgot finally removed my sway bar ar the mod day. Figured end link was bent (shockingly not broken) anyway.

Also added some 1” Bora spacers but ran into major rub problems. I think if the old alignment guy could have put me back to 3+ it would have fit. Rubbed at full lock good on the cab mounts that are already chopped. Ended up removing them a few days later.

Had to do a dirty install at first. Wired up the Baja Design in the fog location. Grabbed a couple eBay specials for the bumper and prinsu rack. One day I’ll get to switching them out but it does the trick and for under $100 for both I can live with it if they break.

Originally picked up custom switches for an Iggy plate to mount below the HVAC bit scratched that and went big with a switch pro 9100 setup. I didn’t take a photo but ended up 3M taping it for the Utah trip.

This is Post Utah after my Powertray arrived (the day after I left). Worked out well and super clean. Plan to tidy it up some more bit it will do for now. Set it up with an extra BlueSea 6 fuse for additional accessories and separate power blocks (positive/negative). Makes it super easy to add or connect whenever I have additional accessories.

Back in May a few of us hit up Utah. A few hit up Overland West but I was not able to make it so headed up with a buddy to meet up in Utah.

We still need to pull the pictures off our DSLRs but here’s some form my phone. If you ever get a chance to make it to Canyonlands check out the Maze District. I can’t wait to explore the rest of the park.

Stopped off in Mojave for our first stop. Didn’t get a chance to explore as we rolled in at almost 3 am.

After Utah that was enough with depending on ice and coolers. I’ll pack a cooler but having a fridge is clutch. No more soggy meat at camp!

Grabbed the CSI 52 qt fridge from @Mike's Custom Toys and set it up temporarilly in the back seat. I plan to move to the bed when the fridge slide arrived.

Been slacking on updates but here you go @TRlPPlN.Still need to adjust the headlights some more and possibly reseal one. I fixed the shroud, added new prism halos and prism Daemon eyes. Output is not bad much better than before but not as bright as some other retros I have seen. Started out as a $200 TLC project not bad.

Have not updated this in a bit. Rigs been busy with updates but not much action. Some fun stuff planned this year and more to come.

With all the added accessories, fridge etc needed some upgrades to the power source. Hopped on the Northstar Group by and paired it with a @ragofabrication battery cage.

    Photo Jan 12, 11 15 04 AM.jpg Photo Jan 12, 11 17 20 AM.jpg

Stupid 2nd gens have really short battery cables so had to improvise. Temporary extension until I get to the big 3 wire swap.

    Photo Jan 12, 1 40 56 PM.jpg

I need to pull out the wires and and rewire but this will do for now.

Stock Lowers had to go as the first step of some upcoming suspension upgrades. Thanks to josh @Wheeler's Off-Road Inc and @TOTAL CHAOS for these beefy AF Total Chaos Stock Race dual shock lowers. All in all a pretty straight forward upgrade. Hardest part was cutting the steering stops off. Getting pretty used to pulling this rig apart.

So I started a thing this week... I wonder whats next... Front fenders complete. Still need to trim the flares. Took a good 3.25" off the fenders. Taking 3" off the flares. Still need to take the BFH to the wheel wells and redo the CMC. Edged up the fenders with some trim from Nathan (@SMKYTXN) over at Trail Toys. Picked up 20 feet for front and rear but not sure thats going to cut it. Was hoping to have some left over for a HC cut down the line. Finished off some of the corner areas with the angle grinder. Just be careful if you use this as it cuts fast.

    Photo Mar 02, 6 39 51 PM.jpg
Quick setup for lining up the fenders. A few parts were tricky due to missing section of the fender that were either beat in with a hammer or cut on the trail.

    Photo Mar 03, 12 23 36 PM.jpg Photo Mar 03, 10 30 57 AM (1).jpg Photo Mar 03, 10 40 59 AM.jpg Photo Mar 03, 10 30 50 AM (1).jpg Photo Mar 03, 11 51 37 AM (1).jpg

No turning back now..... the variable speed jigsaw was money. Get the right blade and it cut with ease and was easy to control. Will probably use a Dremel or similar for the flares.

    Photo Mar 03, 12 27 46 PM.jpg Photo Mar 03, 4 20 27 PM.jpg Photo Mar 03, 1 15 41 PM.jpg Photo Mar 03, 4 33 07 PM.jpg Photo Mar 03, 4 33 07 PM.jpg Photo Mar 03, 4 48 08 PM.jpg

Holy Gap batman! Need to get these filled up pronto...

    Photo Mar 05, 3 15 37 PM.jpg Photo Mar 05, 3 15 43 PM.jpg

End result was awesome! They are all right the first cut is the hardest after then you cut away. Just make sure to measure 1000x's before you cut. I had a couple minor spots on the front of the drivers side that were a bit off but covered by the trim. The front part of the cut did not run perfect that I could trace so had to go at it freehand.

This photo told me on a recent trip wheeling that the fenders needed to go. With 285/70/17's tires the fenders are maxed out here. Imagine if I had 35's or yet even 34's on the rig.
