    Ello Everyone,

First time poster, long time creeper. Let me start out and get my needs out of the way and who I am to see if any of you much more experienced Taco users can help me. I'm about 6'4" and have to swing my legs under the steering wheel with the current models so I'm waiting to sit in the new model since it has a power seat for the first time (FINALLY- hoping I fit). I'm looking at getting the OR model to do some mudding, drive on fire roads (big camper/hiker/back packer/nature nut) and the potential to get into bouldering some day. I have a 2018 suzuki v strom that I want to throw in the back with a dirt bike for trips into the mountains as well as kayaks and mountain bikes (separate trips).

I'm drawn to the Taco because of it's legendary durability and off road capabilities since I plan on keeping it until it falls apart on me or I'm an old man that just wants to upgrade to the current model. There are a ton of other mid size trucks but this truck won me over because of the looks, capabilities and durability. I don't want a full size because I've heard from some other off road buddies that full size trucks can get scratched up while driving on back roads due to bushes and tight roads. I also live in a city where it might be a pain in the ass to park a full size.

    What I Need Help With
With that said- does the 2020 OR DCLB still seem like the right choice or should I just bite the bullet for the PRO because of resale value? I plan on paying someone else to mod the OR to be better than the stock pro anyways (I'm not very mechanically inclined). If anyone has any color suggestions to hide the scratches from off roading (why I'm not getting black) and improve eventual resale value then that would be much appreciated. I have a lot of friends trying to push me to a Raptor but the extra money and size seems to be too much for what I'm looking for.

    What are y'alls thoughts?

    Thanks Ahead of Time,
    Slanger

Go with the DCLB if you want to haul a motorcycle in the bed. It can be done with a short bed, but the extra foot makes a big difference. That is exactly why I went with the LB.

That's what I was thinking too but I've heard the long bed can cause issues with the turn radius compared to a short bed.
