I don't really have pictures, but if you look in front of the radiator, behind the bumper/valance you'll see a fair amount of space there. I currently have a small ARB tank temporarily mounted to the cross brace down there.
Longer term, I plan on mounting a larger tank under the bed where the spare is, but the little one works pretty good on its own and actually pretty solid/secure even though there's only a couple bolts holding it on as there is not really any weight/load on it.

As for hose routing, by default, the ARB dual compressor has air exiting the 'top' of the compressor unit, but if you swap some connectors/plugs around you can have air exit the 'bottom' of the unit (the ARB portable unit is configured this way). Having it routed out the bottom makes it easy to plumb hoses through the holes in the radiator support near the headlights and on over to the tank. From the tank, there is a straight shot back up to the radiator support near the hood latch, where I have my quick-connector mounted. Hope that all makes sense.... I'll try and remember to take some pics next time I'm out at the truck.

And to answer your question, yes if you have a tank, you don't need a manifold to run lockers.

Where did you mount the tank in relation to the spare? I'm wanting to move my spare back under the bed and don't want to give up my tank. Its between the hoist and the rear bumper currently, i think I'm going to have to move it to the opposite side of the spare but want to see what others have done.

My tank is this two gallon, I put it underneath front of bed towards cab passengers side above the muffler, it fits with a couple inches to spare. Hard to get good pics.

Yeah, I had to chop it up since the compressor was a little bigger than the mount. It’s hidden and can’t see it.

@MJ_PDX - Are you still making that bracket for the Slee 2nd vertical mount? It would really solve my problem on re-locating my WARN control box. I have the twin air compressor, the manifold (I have an air locker and the shop that installed it said I needed one), the 1 gal tank mounted in the rear of the truck and an air filter relocation kit. I have a few pictures of my current problem but will post more tomorrow for additional context.

    IMG_4167.jpg

I would like to get your bracket and the slee mount so I can move the air compressor since I have a second battery in the upper passenger area under the hood. Then I can use the SDHQ WARN control box mount to move my control box so it is not slammed up against the compressor and manifold shown above. I just need to ensure I can run the air hoses to the relocation mount point in the air intake box (Will take a picture tomorrow) and still run to the tank that is mounted below the rear driver cubby in the bed.

Any info or suggestions to help solve this configuration would be welcome.

I have a few questions about onboard air, this seems to be an appropriate place to find someone that might know.
Will it matter if i put my air tank towards the back of my truck and put the compressor under the hood?
Also, if i install the pressure sensor under the hood, not far off the compressor and not on the tank, will that cause any problems, aside from maybe turning off a bit prematurely?
I don't want to put the unsealed pressure switch off the tank as where the tank is going it has a better chance of getting wet.

So far, barring any known issues with the above my install plans are as follows: (I have a medium duty VIAir onboard system to install)

Compressor & Pressure Switch under the hood,
On off switch in the cab, or maybe in one of the bed cubbies.
    Tank somewhere under the bed.
Quick connect routed to one of the cubbies with the hose & attachments.

So similar to Sakibomb above, but i dont want to install the Compressor or PSwitch in that location as its directly behind the rear tire which doesnt seem like the best location for my type of shenanigans.

Only recommendation would be the use a relay in the engine bay to control the compressor. The on/off switch(es) can then be smaller gauge wire because they are only controlling that relay.

There is a big thread on here somewhere about on board air. Think its called like the OBA mega thread or something. Got a lot of good info in it

Pretty typical set-up. Since we only use it to run the front locker and fill tires, I don't run an auxiliary tank.
