new 2019 Tacoma Sr 2.7 L engine with 2000 miles. is it worth it to put a sprint booster on it? I hear that it improves the pedal response way better than the ECT? Any thoughts since it's a new truck?

ive seen some peeps around my area install these badboys (pedal commander) when the truck is still rolling around with paper plates. im sure youll be ok. that being said, im not 100% but i think the consenus here is to standfast and save up for ovtune cause the tune can pretty much do what these items offer and more. me personally if i were to pick one up it would probably be the sprint booster but i plan on going the ovtune route eventually so thats why the apprehension.

I have a sprint booster on my 3rd gen and it works great. I would highly recommend it. I’m not really familiar with the break in period, but if you have sprint boosters set on sport mod around 5, it doesn’t rev excessively.

Any improvement's gonna be better than stock molasses throttle response. I think I'm gonna pull the trigger on a Sprint Booster. The OV Tune dude is all talk so far on the 2.7L platform.

No just push your foot down further on the gas pedal and save the cash. IMO it's a useless mod

Fuck that. I'd rather have quicker response, like my Civic's throttle cable.

The problem I have encountered is sometimes you need to step on the gas to get yourself out of a situation! and it doesn't have the same response like the older Tacomas...this is my 5th tacoma...my older tacos had cable response that you could adjust...but even my 2015 2.7l that was fly-by-wire technology also...seem to have more response. I've noticed people talking about this on the blogs on the new 3rd gens...

@kiki111 The pedal response is drastically increased! There are two different mods - I believe they are called sport and race mod. I keep mine in sport mod on setting 5. Each mod has sensitivity levels between 1 - 9. The truck is much more responsive and you don’t have to mash the throttle to get it to go. I’ve have had two buddies drive it who have stock 3rd gens, they are blown away!

On race mod at level 9, the gas is extremely sensitive. You give it any gas and it revs to the moon!
