I hadn't thought about it but he sure does, he sure sold us on the idea of coming home with us. He is a sweet little guy.

Looks like my old 13 year old Lab Lola is doing very well again. A few months back I thought it may be
her time. Thanks to IV's and medication she got better. Now I think her back legs are done. She is falling
on her rump when she tries to pee. I'm afraid the next step is her pooping on her self. I'm torn with
what to do. I've never had a Lab not be able to walk or get around. Wonder if you peeps have good advice
on potential medicine for a beat up Lab rear legs that hardly work. :(

I’m so sorry but we’ve had I don’t know how many dogs over the years. We make them comfy as long as possible but if they can’t get up or won’t eat, it’s time.

Look into acupuncture? My buddy had a basset hound who has been hit by a car and couldn't walk. Few acupuncture appointments and she was up and walking again

I took my daughters pug with my daughter and wife to put him down. Sweet little guy had to deal with being the lab’s chew toy for his first ten years, then became the chew toy to my mal for the last 3...all considered though, he had a good life. Feel for my ladies as they let him go. Stayed with him til the end just like he was always by someone when he was home. Last couple years were tough for him, pain is gone now. Rest easy little Pugsly

Lola’s mind seems to be okay. Her sight is still good. I know 13 is a good life for a Lab. The last vet bill a few months back was $700 bucks. Not being able to walk is tough. Wonder how quick acupuncture results take affect?

I rescued this guy a few months back and I couldn't be happier. He's gained about 5 pounds so you can't see his ribs anymore and his coat has really improved. Still working on the dryness on his nose. He doesn't drink muchh water an is a little dehydrated according to our vet. I put some coconut oil on there a few times a day and little by little it's getting better.

We're doing acupuncture now on our Yorkie who's coming up on age 12. About 6 sessions so far. It's not a cure but he does get around better with less stiffness. Talk to your vet, it's not an option for all ailments. We started with one treatment per week for the first 4 and now we're every other week. Hope to get to once a month but this is something we'll be doing now for the rest of his days. Along with the anti-inflammatories .

    Yeah.
We use anti-inflammatories and Benadryl with our 15yo Brussels. She can't see well, but enough peripherally to know who is who, and doesn't really listen although we are pretty sure she can hear (she hears the doorbell just fine). She still gets excited and spins around in circles, but she is just kind of demented and not as strong as she used to be. Not many accidents in the house, although occasionally it happens, usually our fault for missing a cue. But, we know it could go downhill any day. I waited too long with our old Catahoula.

Or if they are in pain (panting all the time) and just plain looking uncomfortable.

Getting there with Annie.... thought I'd lost her earlier this year, but she perked back up. Now having issues getting up :( Not looking forward to that day.

Sorry for your loss. RIP Puglsy

I can tell Riley is having a similar issues. I don’t know I want him to suffer. Either with him falling all the time or peeing on himself.

When it’s time, I hope to know it. I hope that time never comes.

Lola has no desire to even stand. I’m trying to help her by lifting her with a towel under her hips. But she just wants to fall. Other than that she just lays down looking lost or sleeping. This is my 1st Lab who is losing her legs.
