What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

How long did the intermediate shaft take? I need to tackle this on my 4Runner at some point. Doesn’t look like a fun job at all.

 

Threw in my GearTeach splash Guards last night.

 

Added the 1" spacer lift to the rear supports for driver and passenger seats...now convinced I need this for my commuter too. Amazing how much more comfortable the seat is with such a minor modification!

 

I have done some mods to the seats with Xtra dense foam (upholstery shop) actually has made what were uncomfortable seats pretty nice... This was a mock up,, for me a 2" bottom section....1" back with bolsters cut from 4" and a lower back support worked out super...seat now actually holds me in place when Im in it, I have better view out and the mounting hardware is stock....

 

This is just one light. Still waiting for my other bracket.

 

You could have gotten two of those for $36 on Amazon prime day!

 

My commuter is a 2010 Prius (supposed to be way better than the previous gen) but I do about 114 miles a day rt, and the discomfort is similar to what I felt in the Tacoma...deep set seat pan (major bro lean/rear rake on the seat base) and abysmal back support for the long distance rides. It almost makes me think bringing the rear of the seat up will do the same as this mod where it allows your thighs to rest on the seat base more and not feeling sunk in with knees jutting up off the seat unsupported.

I've looked around a few forums for the Prius but plenty of recommendations but they are all just adding junk under your butt to get your butt up higher in the seat, which could be accomplished by lifting the rear of the seat to decrease the extreme angle.

 

Went with a couple friends to visit my son during his Ducks Unlimited internship over the weekend and stopped at this classic roadside attraction. If you can tell me what this is w/o Googling, you'll earn 1 TW credit!
