So, who’s i stalked a new set of SAE fogs? I didn’t get the Tacoma kit so not connector. Thinking of cutting/splicing the OE connector. Any reason not to?

You going to splice the OE connector onto the SAE Fogs? If so...go for it. I wouldn't splice the Weatherpack connectors onto your truck...

Edit: only problem with this is that you can't sell your stock fogs....

EDIT EDIT: Why not just buy this connector?

Nope, going to splice the weather packs onto the truck.

Have a reason to not do it this way?

Then buy the harness from @paranoid56 he's a great guy to do business with......and it's $12. That way you can still sell your stock fogs for $40ish

I’ve dealt with Shane before. Great guy!

Still not a reason to buy another connector

$12 to save your SAE fog lights from being modified....that's the route I'd go....but hey, if you never sell them then there's no problem.

I’m not modifying the fogs. Those are available if anyone wants them and for less than $40.

I’m modifying the truck... because mama didn’t raise no bitch.

I was talking about modifying the Baja Designs SAE fogs. Not your stock fogs. Didn't realize there was such a baller in the house. My bad. I'm scared to modify my truck...

Oh come on, I was having some fun.

The Baja Designs wiring is too pretty for me to start cutting into without reason and it’ll void literally the only thing with a warranty on my truck.

The truck is beyond return. After a shock relocation, body damage, relocated battery, and boxed frame that fear disappeared.

My truck isn’t new by any means though so we are at different stages.

I guess my sarcasm didn't come through. Sometimes I feel like I've completely rewired my truck. But given the option I normally try to add a harness rather than cut the factory wires. The main reason for this is that I know I might change my mind later on. If I cut wires now, then I'll need to cut wires when I change my mind, then I'll need to cut wires when I change my mind again....then when I have electrical problems I've got 50 splices that I need to check to find the problem. I normally make my own harnesses but for $12 I'll save my time.

I was busting your balls because I know you can take it.

Cutting off the connector on the fog will not void the warranty. They spell that out in their warranty.

Glad you actually read their warranty. I didn't. :anonymous:

Still not cutting into their wiring.

He didn't read the warranty...he just read TW. You give Randy too much credit.

Yeah, I'm definitely not going to read through posts to find info. I just assumed it was a warranty killer.
