Has this been answered yet? I don't see Dobinsons mentioned anywhere in the red coils over black struts kit from mainlineoverland. Looks like the kit is made for mainlineoverland but by who. Is the kit all, some, or none of Dobinsons.

Just a heads up for anyone who has been quoting or looking to buy something soon, we have a pretty big price increase coming on August 1st, next week. Virtually all products will be going up

If things go well i hope to get everything installed on friday or Saturday. At first glance the order was well packaged and looks great. Biggest surprise was the beefy quality of the UCAs.

Got everything put on yesterday. I did it solo and it took around 9.5 hours. Related to the install, it would have been helpful to have a few more instructions. I pulled most of the info for the install instructions and torque settings 20190802_140138.jpg 20190802_131534.jpg 20190802_131534.jpg 20190802_185017.jpg 20190802_190758.jpg 20190802_220507.jpg 20190802_220457.jpg from the youtube sites below. And yes, I did reference OME install videos since I lacked any Dobinsons information.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bbsTJgb6S_c
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IOW-FRDl5wg
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=spGpKnBejUI

    A few notes about install:
-I was not missing any parts (in fact, had more than I needed)
-There was an extra bag of hardware that I was unsure where to use
-The kit came with 6 sets of leaf spring bushings - 4 for the leaf springs and 1 for the lower shackle - I chose not to replace the lower shackle bushing becasue it looked like a pain in the ass.
-The UCAs came with four large washers. However, the UCA's would only allow two washers to be installed at the same locations as the stock UCA's
-If I did it again, I would skip the greasable leaf spring bolts - only came with four bolts but I could have used 6 (4 for leaf & 2 for shackle)
-I am a bit concerned with the brake line that connects between the leaf spring and brake connection - It is very tight - I will continue to monitor
-The greaseable bolts seem to be about 1/8" or 1/4" too long and came in contact with the shackle. This seems to be improving after driving for a day.

After driving for a total of 25 minutes, the ride is much better than stock. The Red October nose dive during breaking is gone. I gained about 3" in the back (2" from lift and 1" gained from the compressed stock leaf pack). I have a Snugtop topper (with heavier sportsman package), Prinsu Rack and RTT so there is a fair amount of static weight. I have RCI sliders on order ant they should be ready in a few weeks so that will add a bit more weight to the front and back. Even with the heavier duty front springs the ride has been great. I will report back in a few more weeks. I have a camping/climbing trip planned next weekend so that will be the first test. I need to get my alignment done this week.

The worst parts were getting the rear leaf springs to mate up to the axle (had to use ratchet straps to get them aligned), getting the UCA bolt removed and reinstalled and one of the front shock lower mounts was out of alignment which took an act of god to get turned and aligned.

@Jmschneider1983 Thanks for the info - How would you say the ride is compared to stock? You mentioned nose dive, but overall how is it? How heavy is the topper? I know it's hard to say since it was just installed, but I've been beating myself up with what to get..

I'll know more in a week or two. I don't have enough miles down on and off road to really comment. Early impression is that it really softens the leaf springs up and there is not as much leaf spring jolt.

I really don't know how heavy the topper is. There is not any published data. If I had to guess, I have 300 lb topper and 150 on the rtt so 450 to 500 static weight.

I’m on the 352s on the 220 strut, that’s what Mike recommended to support the bumper. Rides great
