Good morning everyone. I'm enjoying a relatively quiet day at work, so I thought I would see how everyone is doing on TW. By "quiet day" I mean the main database blew up so everyone is busy and they are leaving me alone.
Which is good, cause July pretty much turned out to be a bucket of suck.
First our bathroom remodel turning into a mess with the marble guys delivering a cracked product. The owner finally showed up, sanded the piss out of it and said that's the way it's supposed to look. I told the wife to pay him and I'll polish the thing myself. One less moron I need to deal with.
Next up, the insurance company finally decided to pay for a new roof, so we started that on July 10. We were going to start earlier, but my mother passed away on July 5th. So between the memorial and moving things out of her apartment, I was too busy for a new roof. The roof is mostly done now; just waiting on the last crew to replace some boards and paint. They did a really good job, but I'm tired of supervising so I'll let my wife keep an eye on them. The last of mom's furniture should be picked up by Salvation Army today. That means the 5K a month rent will stop, hopefully. The good stuff is in storage and soon I'll be mailing crystal and china to all the relatives. Most of the financials are going ok, except Bank of America lost my signature card and won't let me in the safety deposit box. I get to inventory the box next week; so at least I'll see what they won't let me keep. Other than that, the Taco has been busy hauling stuff to storage, donation and the dumpster. So many trips to Sun City that I needed an oil change early. Got to see Scooter at WCT and chat for a bit. Saw some new Tacos, but wasn't impressed. Well, time to get back at it.
Hope everyone is having a better July than me.

We had that humidity here yesterday and I thought it was miserable. I don’t know how you deal with 90%.

Yea, they hang out in the area of the nest for at least a few weeks and the parents keep feeding them as they learn to hunt for themselves. Parents taper off food deliveries after a while to encourage the youngsters to get out and earn their own keep. If they kept feeding them the young would probably never leave, kind of like human kids.
