I'm not going to leave this picture up, but here are all of the engravings covered under standard $15 fee (in aluminum and delrin).

Hell yea bro! On aluminum and delrin with the engraved knurled grip, would be badass.

Are engravings able to be applied around the sides of the knob?

Like elk antlers wrapping around the sides where the delrin ring is, with six speed on top...

    Probably dreaming!

So i have been enjoying my shift knob for a few months now. I opted for the aluminum knob with stainless steel core for some weight. Love the feel of the throw.

However, and I know I should have considered this beforehand, this thing conducts heat (and cold) like a mofo. It is blistering hot at least a few days a week this summer when I am parked at just the wrong angle relative to the sun and most days this past winter it was freezing cold.

I love the feel of the aluminum in my hand so I dont want to opt for a cover, does anyone have any suggestions for me? Would cerakote help or anodizing?

Just drop something over it when you are parking. Like a double thick microfiber cloth or similar. You just need a bit of an air gap between the sun and knob.

A windshield shade would also help.

Probably doesn't help you now, but that is the very reason for the Delrin ring option. It was originally requested by @nairb (lives in Hawaii, so it was a must for him).

But yes as long as it is not in direct sunlight it will not get too hot to touch. As far as winter is concerned, I always wear driving gloves.

So is this thread dead or are more shift knobs still being made? Is there a for sale thread I havent found? I really need a new one. The #'s are wearing off the stock one and I cant find the right gear anymore.

See the above quote. The custom order (actually there are 2) is filled and I have built an inventory of nearly 70 more knobs that are about 1/3 to 1/2 completed.

I put a bulk of them away in storage a couple days back and began focusing on the same 13 that were mentioned in that post. I suppose on Monday I will start doing my usual "weekly updates" (generally around 9pm my time), just to keep everyone in the loop as to when they will go up for sale.
