Status update, they rust faster in the air. I had them in the bucket for an hour, nothing. Pulled them out, 15 minutes later they're dry and a light coat of surface rust. My logic was the copious amount of constant salt would be better than air. My solution, is just leave the bucket of salty water there and give them a dunk whenever I remember.

Toilet bowl cleaner will make them rust the fastest. Just be aware you will create some noxious fumes. Do it outside.

I'm not in that much of a rush, but thanks for the heads up anyways. Good little knowledge bit to add to the memory bank.

Pretty stoked today. My full time job is in the Motion Picture Industry. My occupation is called a “Grip”. We rig all the lighting and stuff for cameras and blah blah blah. Was asked today to come be the “Fabricator/Grip” for the new Star Wars movie. So I’ll be working on that for the next 4 months doing my regular job and fabricating whatever else they ask me to make. Best part is the studio is about 8 miles from my house so a super nice commute!

Haha it’s a fun job man

There are 3 containers stacked high in a 400’ long semi circle and we had to rig up a way to safely attach a maaaasssive green screen to the face and then all of the boom lifts that you see with the big frames on them we construct those so that we can have portable green screen walls and the ones that have the black/white material on them are for 1 of 2 things. 1 using it as a “bounce” to bounce light off to create a softer light effect. 2 to use as a (what we call) “flyswatter” to block out the sun that is directly above the set. And while on stage we constructed giant light boxes made of box truss hung on chain motors. So now you guys know what I do haha

Hahahaha! All good man. Im a huge Joe Dirt fan and meeting David Spade was a highlight since he was suuuper nice. I’ve met and worked with a few but don’t really care all that much. Head down for the most part haha. I was right next to Lebron James the other day when I was working on Space Jam 2. He huge lol. Don Cheadle is cool. Kristen Bell is cool. Kale Gyllenhaal and Tom Holland on Spider-Man. Worked on Captain America Winter Soldier.

For any of your girlfriends or wives I worked on Pretty Little Liars and one of the main actresses told me I had nice arms when I was wearing a tank top at work one day hahaha

Hit the Muay Thai bag a little with Steve Howey who played Kevin Ball in Shameless. He’s a really cool dude.

Plenty of others but honestly just all kinda blends together. I really enjoy the work. I’m grateful for that.

After using the fireball squares today,
I will say they are way superior to the certiflat squares .

I highly recommend to anyone to invest in one of mega squares and a monster square.

I sent a email to the company saying how happy I was with my purchase and I for a response back within 30 minutes from the owner thanking me for supporting his company.

Any of y'all in this thread live in FL? Particularly around the Stuart/Palm Beach region, want to make some money AND are good with an acetylene torch?
I need some steel beams cut and my goddamn rapist of a structural steel sub wants to screw me on pricing. Pretty simple cutting, I would do it and take the money myself but I am the GC and I can't.

    Hilarious, but on point.

Brother in law is a welder. He'll stop over for a visit. Loses his lighter all the time. He flips on one of my MIG units, strikes an arc and lights his smoke.

    Drives me nuts!
