Thanks! I've missed y'all, BUT I have gotten a lot done around the house! And now I'm trying to figure out what it will take for me to paint the exterior of my house

 

It will take paint. And a brush.

I say just a good pressure washer

 

If it's flaking you will need to scrape it. Which sucks. I would imagine you just paint right over the old stuff though.

Well...... That is all fine and dandy unless you can't stand the site of crap like this....
And when you pressure wash the side of the house (not too close either) the shit comes off

Yeah the paint isn't pealing.... Just think it looks like shit and could be better

 

Have you considered vinyl siding? It'll definitely cost more but you're done for life afterwards. Also, it should raise your property value. (Which is only helpful if you're selling, otherwise it just raises your taxes)

 

in Texas that use a siding on a lot of new houses that withstands tornadoes since we are prone to those... Not sure what it is though

 

I want some of that.

 

I think on the house that I had built a few years ago that I lost in my divorce the siding was made of some type of cement mixture
