I actually really like my neiborhood! Shit happens anywhere, my parents place got emptied out while on vacation and living in a rural gated community with a house sitter in it...my 4Runner got broken into twice living in the hood in Indianapolis, my neibors door got kicked off the hinges and place emptied out 3 days after he moved in when I lived in the hood...Then I moved out of the hood and into a nice suburb and promptly had my cat stolen at Menards and window smashed out at dinner in the 4Runner. So not much surprises me anymore about neiborhoods.

Going to the junkyard this week or next in Joliet and they say they have a Tacoma and some 4Runners on the yard. Want me to snag you a tank?

I'd think most likely a bad wire, probably corroded from water. I'd run a test line from the 4-pin straight to the light see if will work with a new wire.

Sitting at home. I’ve been at the beach all week. Your guy is going to come out a windshield in it when I get back. Then I’ll start junkyard shopping for parts

 

Dude I get bad anxiety any time I park it and im not in viewing distance of it. It needs a kill switch bad, was thinking about one of those GPS trackers too. I have been pulling the engine fuse though... its still got the round glass tube fuses and theyre easy to just slide out.

Thankfully its got beat up body panels and is a crawler. If it was a pretty restoration it wouldnt last a month in memphis before it was snatched

Kill switch/engine fuse won't keep it from getting snatched, pulling a couple wheels off and leaving it on cinder blocks with the hood up might though.
