All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Nah, just getting my turd gen to shift properly and make it be able to haul my bikes and trailer.

Used to work for Sherwin-Williams. Give your local actual paint store a call. Does not have to be Sherwin. Best bet is to ask if they have a commercial store in the area, they will have very knowledgeable people that can answer any question you have, as well as possibly having the grinding equipment for rent or can get you in contact with a contractor if needed. And they will have a range of products that you won't find at the big box paint counter.

I just might do that. I'm not looking for the type of project that i have to grind anything down. The garage floor is only 6 months old. Outside of the expansion joints, there are no cracks or deformation of any kind. I just want to clean the oil spills up and put down some kind of coating that will keep the oil from penetrating in the future.

Patrick and the guys are great here at GAS. Had my driver's side wheel bearing go out on my way to Marietta today. They are sneaking me in to get me back on the road. Very thankful.

I would doubt it, and unfortunately don't have time to mess around.

I would highly doubt it have you seen how modified his suspension is. If I was a service writer I would be denying that all day long

Just thinking like a service writer or Toyota

How did you manage to destroy a wheel bearing in 20k?

Felt a vibe in the wheel, and I could hear the driver front tire howling. When I looked at it I thought the camber got out of whack. Top of the tire was tilted inward, got it to Greer since it was on the way home.....and not alignment, wheel bearing...guy doing the work said it's pretty common on people running oversized tires. If I had more time I would have done the work myself, but with a trip tomorrow...had to get it done.

You would think somebody would have a better wheel bearing that would support the weight and offset of oversized wheels and tires considering how popular these trucks are

Thinking about pulling the trigger on a lift. Don't want to go the typical 5100 route, got a quote from Mike from Dobinsons, think they would look good and perform well for the price on my truck. Any reason I shouldn't? Thought I'd end up with an Icon lift just because I always like how they look and heard good things but think this might be a good route to go instead.

I just got a Dobinsons 3" lift installed with their UCAs (bought direct from David at Dobinsons in Miami). Its a nice setup. I dont know what you're running now but I had the TRD Pro Fox setup. It was a nice soft ride but way too low with the bigger tires I wanted and camper top (Im actually going to post the Fox setup for sale soon). I have a problem with limited downtravel, only get 1/2" drop on one one side and 3/4" drop on other but could be an issue with my Pro as I havent read anyone else with this issue. Im trying to figure it out still but thats my only problem with the Dobinsons and its possible its not the new suspension, who knows. But the Fox did not have that issue.

The dobinson will be a solid choice. Very similar to OME from the sounds of things. I think @tweakit88 runs dobinsons on his rig.

I can’t stress enough how much I urge you to call Erick or Jay with @state48overland. Let them know what you want to accomplish and how you plan to use your truck. They sell premium products with top shelf expertise. I wouldn’t be shocked if they can get you into a quality setup at a much better on price point than you’d think.
