    Visited Bay Area Metal Fabrication up in Benicia earlier to pick up my Lo Pro RTT rack. I guess I wasn’t worthy to meet JLee himself, but his brother drilled and attached the rack for me.

    Also I found out what happened to the Pelfrey front bumper and rear bumper prototype they found in the liquidation. It’s going on his first gen.

    I think that’s a whole collection of Pelfrey bumpers right there.

    Once pics go public of the prototype, you'll be seeing knock offs. Everyone who diy's their own armor would be lying if they say they didnt use someone elses bumper for inspiration. I used a combo of Addicted Offroad and Shrockworks for my rear bumper.

    I asked the fine people at Relentless Fabrication why they don't sell the DIY kits anymore. They said the people were tracing the pieces and selling or making it themselves.

    Really the most complicated part of Relentless' design is the center cage. It's all bent with a metal brake and laser cut holes for the winch. Easy to get around though.

    Yeah an acetylene torch and the edge of a table could act as a brake, and the holes could be drilled, torched, plasma cut etc. A lot of ways to skin a cat in the world of metal fab.

    Yeah the front was too bulky. The rear looked promising though.

    Has anyone changed out the pinion oil seal on their e-locker 3rd member recently? Any special things to look out for? I presume it will be similar to changing the oil seals on the t-case. I've had to do that job a few times recently. :rolleyes:

    pretty simple. I'd apply a layer of gasket maker to the outside of the new seal. Common to do that on diffs I think.
