Thanks man, I'll do my best to take some pictures of the high country.

This trip is a little more sentimental because a bunch of us are coming together to do a memorial run for and spread the ashes of a wheeling buddy who died in an accident working on his Jeep.

Holy shit... I heard about that on the news. That’s not the guy from Nevada is it? They were saying it was caused from the big Earthquake in neighboring Los Angeles County.

    Sorry for your loss.

Woke up to pouring rain this morning...thought I was dreaming. Been triple digits and blindly sunny all week. Crazy thunderstorm I guess except it's been going on for over an hour, usually they come and go really fast

Nah, it happened last fall. His wife has been planning the trip since around Thanksgiving but all of the high country trails have been closed due to snow, and some still are.

Buddy came over unprompted and helped me wrap up all the loose ends on the truck...he was also nice enough to clean all of my windows and vacuum it out while I was working on stuff.

Damn, Ed Pink is back up to his old tricks. Reviving production of the IMSA GTP VG30. This is an engine that was specially cast from aluminum (as opposed to the stock VG30 which is cast iron) and adapted to run an Electromotive engine control system from the late 80s early 90s for racing in IMSA cars at places like Laguna Seca. Pretty much entirely custom minus the crankshaft and head design (which was modified to run orings instead of head gaskets so it could push near 40psi).
