Welcome to the Pro life. If you think it's stiff now wait till you get it on a wash board road or over the train tracks, you'll love it.

Nothing compares.... nothing compares to blazing blue pearl. Not even white even if it is a pro.

    Happy birthday to your truck

As far is the light bar brand pretty sure it was rough country

    It was like $250

Great color choice. I think the Pro model looks awesome in white. Congrats, and say good riddance to high BMW maintenance and repairs costs!

    Weird question,

Do you notice any difference in acoustic resonance induced vibrations between the pro and the OR exhaust/intake/overall? Asking for a friend :anonymous:.

big difference between the stock OR exhaust and the TRD one on the Pro. OR is V6 buzzy and TRD is much more throaty and deep (from 3" piping primarily).

Intake no difference ....Trd pro exhaust sounds Good imo..... I’ve never liked the sound of exhaust on almost any six cylinder engine but this setup is just the right mixture of throaty buzzy but yet still subtle. As far as vibrations... the only vibration comes from the jbl subs bumping ugk.

To me the regular Tacoma exhaust sounds no different than a Camry.

Thanks, just got back from the dealer (5th visit to an auto shop, dealer or otherwise) for this vibration and they say they feel it. They thinks it's engine/exhaust acoustics related but can't/won't do anything till it gets worse. Drove a new sport and it does the same. Thanks for the input. Maybe time for OVTune + dump tubes + TRD cat back...

Ha, I forgot, TW is not the best place to inspire frugality. Fixing problems with more hp works right...

OVT2.0 93oct, dump tubes, catless Y pipe (URD Mk2), re-route w/o the crush pipe, and media-less open exhaust after that. if you want this to really shine don't compromise any of the exhaust. the TRD muffler (and most mufflers for that matter) is hugely restrictive. probably the biggest change i ever made was removing the TRD muffler, and that kinda surprised me.

Currently live where that could work (no emissions and only 91, we are peasants) but would want at least some chance to pass emissions in the future (possibly moving soon). I assume what you're saying tho is why spend all that money and put restrictions on performance parts (good point). If you went with catted dump tubes, a catted y-pipe and a media-less muffler, how much of a difference could you foresee?

I Actually don’t think it’s that bad.... most will advise against a intake and exhaust is a waste of money since it doesn’t actually improve horsepower

Since you’re just trying to change sound it “sounds” reasonable to do

Everything I gathered said the ovtune was the only worthwhile horsepower performance mod

how much? too subjective to say.

just sharing my experience. i developed my exhaust in stages so could see how things did or didn't work for me. i can say that you will be happy with OVT development in the future whatever exhaust you run. the question for you is how much more is a little more worth and what's a little more? hard questions to answer. example: had an install issue with the catless dump tubes a couple weeks ago, and replaced with stock cats. now i'm running stock cats with the 2.0 beta file for the dump tubes and it's far better than ever before... and i'm not even on the correct stock cat file right now. and high flow catted dump tubes are on the way to me, as is the updated beta file. so it keeps getting better but i'm also paying to play.
