    No shit, never tried that spot. So bummed I missed the permit for this year. Gotta get it at labor day now.

    Ah okay I missed that part of the conversation. If it’s approved for the frequency then your good to go, the only other things that come into question are power output limits and then having a license for specific ranges but that’s about it. Sometimes radios are approved for set frequencies but is up to the operator to comply with the other rules.

    Take the fill plug out first to make sure itll come out
    Take drain bolt out drain in pan re fill with gear oil till it comes out fill plug hole done

    There are two 4x4 drive-on spots off Ocean Parkway, between Jones Beach and Robert Moses. One is called Sore Thumb and the other is Gilgo (where the serial killer was dumping all those bodies o_O). RM is good if you're fishing but you have to get on the sand by 8am before they cut off access to the beach. That's too early for my wife and kids :rolleyes:. I live 70 miles away in Rockland County.

    sorry to quote your original post lol. I just want a cheap radio to have on the trails to talk to other people.. lol if what you bought will work I want one. Cannot beat it for the price. I do not want to install another cb in the truck i want something easy and portable...

    Last I heard, Gilgo was closed indefinitely due to beach erosion. One of my favorite surf spots. Where's sore thumb at?

    How did you get up into that switch panel? I was going to put my light bar switch up next to the fog switch but couldn’t get my mitts into it! Ended up putting in the row below.
