    Hey BT, sorry my photo's are misleading. I purchased a Harken Hoister and installed to the manufactures specs, those are the black lines. For safeties sake, I replaced the cross straps (they would have put all the weight at the lip of the cap and are only 1" wide. I feared it might cause chips at the edges) with 2" x 6"'s and blocks to disperse the weight over a larger area, added stainless eyes, and the white ropes which are just added safety in case the hoist should slip. Once the cap is lifted I secure the safety lines and back off on the hoist so that the tension is shared by all the lines. All lines are attached by screw links so they can be detached easily. I overbuild everything. These pics make it easier to see. I went to the hardware store and by the time I added up the cost of all the parts needed decide it was a better route to purchase the Harken system, it works great and lifts the cap with very little effort.P7250002.jpgP7250001.jpg
