The ones I have are still fairly new. Just been good about getting em rotated every 5k since Discount Tire does it for free.

I have a portable AC at home - but I don't know any germans who do. See, TheGovt tells its citizens 'somethings are BAD!' and citizens believe and comply. TheGovt tells its citizens 'somethings are GOOD!' and citizens believe and comply. I kinda understand how a despot could rise to power and do awful things. My german friends complain about most of the things going on - their outrageous taxes (19% sales tax on most things, 42% income tax on income over about $60k (USD equivalent), a 5.5% 'Solidarity Tax' on top of income tax, and if you are a registered member of a church, another 8-9% on top of that. Interests, dividends, and capital gains on stocks are subject to a flat tax of 25%, in addition to the solidarity charge and church tax if applicable.), horrible fiscal and infrastructure efficiency (Road crews work on 8hr days, during the day - no weekend nor night-shifts adds untold weeks months or years to projects, very little apparent coordination for road work (often closing all arterial roads simultaneously), dumping money hand-over-fist in unproven but popular technologies and what-not. It's beyond weird. I cannot shop, use a lawn mower, electric drill in my driveway, work on a car if it makes ANY noise, or wash my car on a sunday - "Today is SUNDAY! It is FORBIDDEN!!!", as I was scolded by a Gas Station attendant when i asked about a wash. Yet 15 minutes later i set my dirty car's cruise control on 130mph and drove that way for 40 minutes or so. Nobody I passed cared. Some people passed me - they complain about things, but they refuse to do much about it.

"We know it's bad but what can we do??" They tell me.

"Read all you can about 1776 in the western hemisphere" I suggest.

fwiw, our Safety officer just stopped by. 91oF and 43% Humidity in my office. 5 feet from my desk. So what's that? Probably around 96ish heat index? Look, i've been in MOPP 4 in El Paso, in August. I've masked up in central Iraq. I am not really complaining so much as I'm kinda bitchy. Too old for this shit. :)

Haha, yeah. Once I got out of the army, I'm all about being comfortable.
Too many times in MOPP shit when it's balls hot out and too many times doing PT in snow with shorts and a T shirt.

Reflective belt that's part of the PT uniform but they also make you wear it just about any time you are do anything even remotely dangerous like mowing the grass in the middle of the day, in the middle of nowhere. It's such a ridiculous item that is treated as if it has magical powers so it quickly became a joke with service members that you're safe from any and all harm when wearing a pt belt.

    How's it hangin?

    I get it.

Same as being on the run from the cops, grab a reflective vest and a clipboard and stand in a construction zone. Watch cops drive by.
