I’m glad I read this thread. Currently mine at at 34 (265/75/16 Coopers) and it rides like crap, my poor rear view mirror has been useless for months. I will try dropping to 30. My only concern is what happens to gas mileage with psi set that low. When my mountain bike tires are low, she’s a mofo to pedal...:goingcrazy:

A 4 psi difference isn’t going to make much difference to your ride quality.

You have other issues if your truck rides like “crap”.

like the piece of garbage roads in a lot of towns?

I was driving back on US20 in IL from Rockford to Dubuque IA and for 50 miles (until i got to the Ski Resorts) it was nothing but bump bump bump bump bump nonstop on and on
not to mention the local city driving, it drives like a truck! but other cars with 'softer' rides have real hard time not bouncing around so my truck makes it even worse
I just wish my rear suspension would finally wear out so I can replace it all with the box removed, it would probably be easier back there to do with nothing in the way

E rated tires do ride rough on our trucks, very rough if they're inflated too high. Our Tacomas are very lightweight and not really meant for E rated tires, but I run E rated because they are much more reliable on the trails, especially when you air down low.

On the street though you will definitely sacrifice ride quality with how stiff they are on our light trucks.
