    and to recap the meet...

sunset on Friday...a promising end to day 1
    [IMG]

storm clouds moving in on Saturday afternoon...

    and more clouds...

and more clouds...(I don't think I've ever been this close to a thunderhead before!)

    oooh! look! more clouds...

and now we're driving in the clouds...

and that pretty much sums up the trip...we ran away from the clouds, drove through the clouds and camped in the clouds.

EDIT - oh, and I got poo'd on, literally...:(...yet another reminder of why I don't drive with the windows down...damn cows...damn 265's w/ no flares...:(

Another TW'er home safe and sound...

nope, no more pics - I was a bit preoccupied during most of the drive Saturday...hard to take pictures while driving in 4-lo and with the double-handed, white-knuckled grip on the wheel .

    OK, so I lied...

Tony attempting a hill climb (gave up after one try)

Rhys opening one of the thousand gates we would cross Saturday afternoon upon entering the cow pasture of no return that would consume our entire afternoon. And to save my own reputation here, those were NOT roads! No idea where the hell we were...

And my Toy this morning, should have been out there today, much nicer!

Yes, everyone else chickened out! What's a camping trip in Montana without a threat of snow? We still had fun, rain and all.

Rhys you were asking about Blacktail on Saturday and i talked to a few people that have done the trip and they say a stock truck would make it since you can go around anything you dont want to climb. So anytime you and any of you other guys want to break your nuts out and take a real wheeling trail let me know! So it kinda sucked that more of you guys couldn't show but I really don't want that to want that to discourage everyone from trying again sometime. Just thought I would through that out there!

Looks like you 3 had a great time with some good pics to go with it. Sorry I couldn't make it. We were packing/cleaning all weekend. We are getting on the road tomorrow morning. Wish I could've made some meets while I was up here, maybe I'll make it up to one in the future.

hell yeah man id love to check out blacktail. this weekend we are going to washington so im gonna try to look at mt rainier. this past weekend was fun. and sunday night we camped in the sweetgrass hills. it would be a cool meet place but i dont know if its open for everyone. i thought i was gonna flip my truck going up this trail in the dark. that was scary. i also came really close to wishing i had sliders too. we camped in my bed and now im seriously thinking about building a sleeping platform and maybe a drawer system under it.
so what....october?? can more people make an october meet or what does everyone think. im down for whenever, wherever, and my hips dont lie!

So do you mean lips? Or do your hips talk? Mybe we can get a mini meet going? Colton said he was down whenever he fixes his suspension (lift would be real cool):DI really don't expect anyone else will want to drive all the way up here though?
