Look for a Super Walmart. I have 3 near me and they are all loaded with Pitboss pellets (comp, Hickory, Fruit and one other). Also Lowes has Pitboss comp pellets cheap. HD has more options but I didn't look at the price. Costco had Treger comp pellets.

Brian's just not looking hard enough. Here the Walmart briskets are $1/Lb cheaper than the Costco ones.

I guess not all Walmarts are the same but I have two Super Walmarts within 10 miles. They both have a good selection of meats ( Brisket, 3 types of ribs, and Bison burger my fav) and daily fresh Sockeye Trout, Salmon and a couple others depending on the day.

I have a few times now. I trust the smoker enough to let in run overnight. I would add a larger water pan so it doesn't run dry and fill the hopper at least 1/3 full.

Original pan was replaced with aluminum one a while back.

Haha my water pan holds about a gallon and a half ish and I have a 60# hopper on this smoker.. it could run for a couple of days without a refill.

Edit: now I remember you have a similar smoker! Haha

Yep, I've done that too -- need to cut close to the seal on the side of the bag though as it'll pull air along that outside plastic due to the texture.

Then I found the portion pack rolls.

Already sealed down the middle of the 11" roll and perforated. Gives you two side by side 5.5" wide bags.

*Perfect* for cheese blocks and lunch portions of stuff.

I was wondering if anyone had a smoked baked beans recipe they would be willing to share... not happening today but wouldn’t mind trying it.

Those look good.... I wonder if anyone makes them from scratch instead of adding pre-made (in this case Bush’s baked beans)
