We cadets got that game banned from Virginia Tech. Totally worth it! Physical sports mixed with definite hazing, what could go wrong?

 

Cadet? Ewww gross! Actually being an ROTC SMI and instructor was one of my favorite assignments.

 

We went way deeper down the rabbit hole than the average ROTC school. Tech is a senior military college, with an original charter similar to a watered down West Point back in the day. Has gone public since, but still has a standing cadet corps. It had it's ups and downs, but we were required to go to EVERY home football game, and I got issued a saber that may or may not have drawn blood (by mostly accident) so that was cool. *For legal reasons, that last sentence was a joke

 

Rugby at least has rules, Pushball was outright war, with a ball somewhere in the middle.

Push Ball guidelines were: No biting, no punching in the face (intentionally)

 

Yeah there’s a few of those out there. The cadre are typically pretty CrossFit about it with other cadre. Cadets tend to be more down to earth.

I was at an Ivy League, those schools are a little different. The program is more of their secret shame. We exist but let’s keep them to the outskirts of campus. lol

 

I’d be willing to bet you never even played rugby..

More likely to play whatever the Harry Potter thing is.
