On road it's pretty firm and jarring for my taste, especially the rears. When I'm unloaded I have at least 150lbs of ballast in the back under my tonneau to keep from giving me a headache on our crappy local roads. Off road is a dream - super nice, especially loaded up for camping. I just did a big trip into the high Uintas with lots of offroad miles and it was perfect.

Thanks for the feedback, will run the middle notch with no rear spacer see how that works out for me.

-10 Offset will get you flush with the fenders and gives you plenty of clearance from your UCA. Im running ray10s 17 x 8.5 -10mm.

Just bumped back down from 285/70/17 Coopers to 275/70/17 BFGs. I had BFGs before I got lifted and loved them. Coopers were loud and after being balanced twice, still seemed uneven. There was no rub but the tire was a pinky from the UCA. These have practically no road noise and are smooth as silk.

I like that size. A lot of the 285’s look like balloons.

What would you do different? I have a 2016 dcsb sport as well and was looking at getting the Bilstein 5100 kit all around with 884 coils and a single deaver aal . Was it to stiff on the road?

I assume you had to trim plastic and no cmc?

Any rubbing off road with this setup?

    Looks perfect to me.

I'm seriously interested in this size for my next set of winter tires because I'll have a lift kit and want to fill out the wheel wells better than stock 265/70R16s by the time 4 years rolls around. I'll finally buy my 17" winter steelies too lol

For those of you that switched from 265/70/17 to 275/70/17, was there a noticeable size difference? The weight increase is pretty significant so just making sure there's enough change in the look to make it worth it.

Sorry for the late reply. At the time this photo was taken, I had A LOT of rubbing with the plastic and cmc. But after i upgraded to SPC control arms and proper alignment, I had much less rubbing issues. Only rubs when the tires are stuffed during off roading.

I was torn between 285 and 275. After looking at all these pics I decided on 275 and so far i like the look of it with my set up.
Icon c/o set to ~2" of lift and icon leaf springs ~1.8" of lift
    17x8.5 0 offset rims

That's dope right there. I have the same wheels and about the same height of lift. Any trimming or CMC on yours?

I only removed my front mud flaps. No rubbing after that.

Sweet! That's good to know. I took my mud flaps off as soon as I got my truck. So I should be good to go. Thank you.

Tried reading through most of the 41 pages of this thread. What would be the minimum lift I would have to do to get no rubbing with this size tire on TRD 17" Pro rims on a 19" TRD Sport?
