    FIPG? Really? Never heard of that before.

    And yeah, this'll be the 3rd time it gets changed. First time was done by Just Differentials when they regeared the diff. Second time Jon did it for me in Powell in 2014...?

    ive had luck using the toyota orange fipg for the pinion seal, just a bit. not a whole lot, on the outside of the seal

    Do you have a solid pinion spacer in your diff?

    It's important you get the preload on the pinion correct.

    I have small tube but I have no idea of its color.

    I also found there are two part numbers for the seal that are supposed to work. I have one of each and their O.D.s are identical but there is a difference in the I.D.s. The calipers say its a ~.001" difference. 90311-41009 and 90311-38047. It is interesting there are two of them. And they are different. The one that ends in 41009 has a rubberish surface on the top and OD. The one that ends in 38047 is metal on the outside and cost about half as much. Ever seen anything like that before?

    Yes, a solid spacer was used when I regeared. I think that means I don't have to worry as much about messing up the preload doesn't it? That I can be less careful about getting to 145 ft.lbs. of torque.

    hmm cant say i have. its been a while since ive done a pinion seal so i dont remember what it was. i want to say the non elocker diffs for sure have the rubber on the outside. last elocker i did was 4 years ago, i dont remember if it was like that or metal.

    255/85r16 is a true 33" tire, you might be able to but you might have to trim the ends of the spare tire holder off (or flatten them out) so it fits.

    If your exhaust is in the stock location then that might be in the way, I'm not sure. Mine is dumped over the axle
