Didn’t realize that the flipout fobs had a signup on the site. Just did one for black and one for orange

I wish I liked key rings just for the Taco Truck one. I have a similar Remove Before Flight one that just hangs on a nail.

My good friend is Filipino Hawaiian. He calls himself Flip. I toe the line and just call him Rod. :D

Truthfully I don't know of any filipino that takes being called a flip offensive. Were asian nobody takes us serious anyways. Haha.

Hahaha! Same. A neighbor growing up used to call me a Whop (for Italian). I knew it was offensive even in quietly racist PA, but I didn't mind. Just a name.

As a fellow Italian, it's WOP (With-Out Papers, or so I'm told) :spy:. My my Dad's grandfather's family immigrated from Italy in the 1910's. Came to Barre, VT for the Granite Trade.

    Oh! Well there you go.

Same at about the same time. They ended up in Ebensburg and Altoona, PA.

    Gawd, I miss the food!

Nobody made pasta like my Grandma (also very Italian), I miss her cooking. Not one of my aunts were able to perfect her recipes.

So true. There is a restaurant near here that I almost teared up at. Their marinara was so darn close that it was shocking.

The weird one is that my mom (Slovak) learned a lot and could make a mean ravioli with her own unique (killer) sauce. I was never able to copy it.

My Rav4 key looks the same as the Tacoma H key. I was just assuming it was and was planning on getting your Tacoma flip key when released and using it for the Rav. I have a 2014 so I’m not sure if the 2019+ or 2012 and older would work, but I’m thinking you may be making a Rav key whether you were planning to or not. I don’t have a Tacoma H key to compare it to in person though, just online pictures.

It’s the only reason I’m watching this thread as I’m obviously pretty happy with the Lexus Credit Card Key ;)

@Flooger you may be in luck

Okay gotcha. in that case the older rav(stick out key) might work in the Tacoma flip fob. I thought you had the newer rav with a stock flip out (like in your picture) I know those won’t work because I have a few on my desk.(bought them to take apart and see how Toyota did their flip out)

I tell ya what...that Ti OctoKeyRing thingamabob is just cool in every way. Damn thing gave me a huge refresher course on the modulus properties of titanium though! :D

That will definitely be an add on.

I have a Ti front axle nut on my bike. The weight difference compared to steel is outrageous. I haven't played with Ti parts that can be flexed yet.

Pretty much all Ti parts can be flexed. It’s a very common misconception the Ti is hard/rigid. It really isn’t either of those...it’s just extremely tough. It does not want to shear at all. It will flex, and immediately come right back. Copper, CFRP Composites, and wrought iron are actually stiffer than titanium. Nerdgasm of the day :bananadance:

I hear you on that. Nerd over here also. It is just that we rarely get to feel that in our own hands.

Seeing long fiber composite do that is wild also. CF nanotubes are going to take that to another level. Exciting times.

I've been hearing stuff about CF nanotubes revolutionizing everything under the sun for nigh on two decades now, but yet to see anything really happen with it. Sounds amazing but I'll believe it when I see it.

True. It is the manufacturing process. Once that takes a leap, we'll be there.

Regardless, the things that it has been proven to do is amazing.

The fact is that solar panels have been around forever also. I'm still waiting for them to make money around 45deg north. :D
