I have a sr, with the small touchscreen unit. No nav, no xm. I purchased a non jbl 7" unit. With nav and xm. I plan to buy a navigation antenna and a xm antenna along with the radio bezel I need to fit the larger 7" screen.

My question is since I only have steering wheel controls on my left side, should i/ could I easily add the right side steering wheel controls as well? Would it make my new radio easier to use or would it not be worth it?

Also if there is something that I've left out that I need to do/get in order for my swap to work please let me know! Any and all advice is very welcomed and appreciated!

The left side is all you need. The controls on the right side is used to control functions on the screen in the cluster. Not sure if you have it.

Do you have the steering wheel controls for phone/voice? On 2nd gens they're on the right side.

I'm basically going to get a Toyota navigation antenna off Amazon, a bezel from sparks Toyota parts and the radio itself.

In theory I should have navigation, radio, HD radio, backup camera still and my steering wheel controls when done , correct?

    Just seems too simple lol.

I'm also going to purchase an xm radio antenna eventually but I'm not in a rush for that right now.

With radios it's really easy honestly once you do it.

All the connectors have unique shapes to them. They either plug in or they don't from my experiences. If all goes well I'll post up all the stuff I got to make this work and explain how I did it.
