TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

How much is the OVtune ECUtek cable? The mongoose is so expensive its much cheaper just to get the dealer to flash it.

 

So not supercharged related, but I wanted to ask everyone in here because I feel like we have our own little family in here.

Has anyone been paying attention to the 2020 tacomas? The drivers seat will have 10 way electric adjustment. I am curious if anyone in here thinks it would be pretty damn close to bolting up in one of our trucks. I type this and realize then we will have one seat that doesn’t match the rest, but with something like some clazzio seat covers it shouldn’t be too noticeable. I know I would enjoy the extra adjustment options, especially on those long drives.

Also the new headunit looks pretty slick. Maybe I need a 3rd gen in army green?

 

Probably would be close, but why would you want that seat? I dont mind a mechanical seat but some vertical adjustments would be nice

 

Mostly from all the adjustment you can get. Raising/lower the seat. I have some spacers in the back but it’s still not great. I really just want the ability to adjust up/down, and the tilt. I know there are other seats that can do that, but I figured the 3rd gen probably has the same cab bolts for the seat, or damn close to the 2nd gen.

Get some Lexus ISF or RCF seats. It’ll hug your buttcheeks.

 

Maybe out of another toyota or lexus you're bound to find something. But is the expense and fab worth it would be the question.

 

I want to do a seat swap too but I’m way too lazy.

My seats have all the adjustment you can dream of, even power headrest. But the seat bottom is completely flat so my small Asian ass goes sliding around.

 

I got the same spacers. It helped alot to me. But still adjustable could be nice

 

Probably cost thousands. But it would be cool. I'll just be happy with heated seats.

Apologies for wandering back on-topic, but I installed an AFR extension harnesss from Ballenger Motorsports last weekend. Had a local shop weld-in the bung today - both gauges are now fully functional.
(Changed out the black bezels for silver ones too, for better match with OEM dash.)



No logging yet, as I need to upgrade to HPT Pro and figure out how to get the analog AFR signal into it, but gauge observation while driving home from the shop indicates
- Stable (stoichiometric) ~14.7 when idling (~-17 - -15 in hg)
- Stable (stoichiometric) ~14.7 when cruising (~-15 - 0 in hg)
- Richening to ~12-13 under moderate throttle/boost (~0 - 3 psi)
- Richening to ~10.5 at WOT/full boost (~5 - 7 psi)
- Only time it goes lean is when downshifting, as expected
