should be good. i didn't get a clean assessment of the catless tubes due to an exhaust leak. but the sound wasn't quite right even looking past that on my exhaust, it was too metallic and raspy for sure, but that's what you expect from a full cat removal on this kind of exhaust.

i'm sure he'll have some versions for 2.0. all i can say now is your regular 2.0 file is the fat kid tune you're looking for. it's much more than the previous fat kid tune (BFO 1.05 93).

    What issues? What tune?
87fob still going strong after a few hundred miles past couple weeks. It will still buck here and there, but even with the stock tune, I blame myself for loading it up at low rpm without using enough clutch.. Say rolling a stop sign.

I second that. I also have a camping trip coming up in Sept to the Rockies for three weeks and pull a 4800lbs TT. I need all I can get out of my 3.5.

Guys who have this, does it help with how the truck reacts from a dead stop?

It seems to me that the truck bogs down at every take off and it drives me nuts. On flat ground it's not an issue, but on hills it seems the more throttle you give while letting the clutch out, the worse it bogs down.

Also, when trying to pull out on a busy road, if you are too aggressive it seems to throw out the middle finger and won't let you accelerate.

I even tried a higher rpm take off, didn't dump the clutch but let it off quicker, at a red light, and it just fell on it's face.

I have this feeling, that if i wanted to burn the tires, the truck would tell me no. (I don't want to burn the tires)

    I can drive my 87 4 runner with 22re like a dream.

I like everything about this truck except how it takes off from a stop. I don't need fast i just need predictable. I will get to the ADM soon but this seems more like a throttle input nanny to me.

Yes, but - even on 1.05 BFO files the truck still doesn't like to get moving when taking off on a steep incline (just off idle). Apparently 2.0 solves this :fingerscrossed:

87FOB tune has been great for me this past couple weeks and 600miles. Better response off the line, it doesn't fall flat. But I'm used to working the clutch (no ADM)

I'm really enjoying the better response off of idle. Better mpg and easier to cruise at low speeds in 5th & 6th

It has to be.. I do a lot of local driving, stop and go. But I can manipulate this truck now to the point where im in 5th gear at 25mph city roads cruising. My average mpg (computer calculation) with mixed driving has been 19-20mpg.

Few questions here, most probably answered before but.....I live in Utah, a higher elevation state so they only sell 85,88 and 91octane at 99% of the gas stations here. Will that affect my tune at all, being its for 87/93? Also, I plan on probably using an older MacBook Pro with bootcamp on it to flash, will that cause any issues? I know it said not to use a VM but I couldn't find anything on Matt's site about using bootcamp.

And my last question..I have a ShiftSensePro , do people still run that even after the tune? I'm debating if I should sell it to help cover the cost of the tune.

EDIT: Just realized this is for the manual trucks. Meant to post in the automatic thread.

just run a higher octane than the tune. 85 is *generally* fine with the 87 tune as you are at elevation. My truck has always liked higher octane even from the factory on the stock tune FWIW

    Use bootcamp. works just fine

shift sense pro isnt recommended to use with the tune or necessary as mat is adjusting shit points.
